Pokémon Legends: Z-A is getting a new downloadable expansion called Mega Dimension, and there’s still plenty to discover in Lumiose City! Here’s a rundown of everything we currently know about the upcoming DLC, which is scheduled to be released before the year ends.
New Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC, Mega Dimension, to release this December
Excited to discover even more powerful Pokémon? The hit Nintendo Switch game is getting its first downloadable expansion, Mega Dimension, this winter! It will feature a brand new world with lots of exciting Mega Evolutions to find.
The DLC trailer didn’t reveal much about the story, but we can piece things together from what we saw. It appears the characters travel through a portal to a new dimension that resembles a faded version of Lumiose City.
Okay, so in this new dimension, there are a ton of Mega Evolutions I’m going to have to battle. If this DLC is anything like the original game, I’m expecting to run into a bunch of ‘Rogue’ Mega Evolutions – basically, Pokémon that just Mega Evolved on their own without a trainer’s help. Sounds tough!
So, when does the new Pokémon DLC, Mega Dimension, launch? And how much will it cost?
Release date
The Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC, called Mega Dimension, is scheduled to release on December 10, 2025, just in time for the holiday season.
Cost
The downloadable content will be available for $29.99, which is half the price of the full game – a bit expensive, perhaps. We hope it offers a lot of engaging content for players to enjoy.
If you buy the downloadable content soon after its release, you’ll receive extra goodies, like different kinds of Poké Balls. You’ll have until February 28, 2026, to get the code, so you don’t need to purchase it right when it comes out.
