KRAFTON eyes to tap cricket games market; three “tailored for India” mobile titles to be launched by FY2026

Story Highlights

  • KRAFTON plans three India-focused game launches by FY2026.
  • The publisher is exploring cricket team and league licensing deals.
  • KRAFTON is collaborating with Indian studios for fast launches.

KRAFTON India is making a big push in India, with plans to create games centered around cricket – the country’s most popular sport. They’ve also announced they are developing games specifically tailored for Indian players. These details were shared in their Q3 2025 earnings report.

The company is expanding into the cricket gaming market with two titles in development

The company is releasing the popular Real Cricket franchise, working with Nautilus Mobile – a studio they gained majority ownership of earlier this year. They’re also developing a new, unannounced cricket game, which might be the project rumored to be the ICC’s official mobile cricket game.

Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, KRAFTON was likely a leading contender – along with EA Sports, Dream11, and Nazara Technologies – to win the rights to create a game based on ICC tournaments. I came to this conclusion because a previous report included a blurry image of an ICC tournament scorecard.

KRAFTON is currently looking into partnerships with various cricket leagues and teams. Alongside this, KRAFTON India plans to create games that are simple, social, and tailored to the preferences of Indian gamers.

I’m really excited to hear that KRAFTON is aiming to launch at least three new games by 2026! It sounds like they’re being smart about things, wanting to test ideas quickly and make improvements along the way. What’s even cooler is that they’re really focusing on Indian game ideas and working with developers here – that should mean we see new releases much faster. I can’t wait to see what they come up with!

These actions demonstrate the company’s commitment to growing its presence in India with a variety of games, and not relying solely on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). While the new cricket game is promising, the development of three additional games specifically for the Indian market is particularly noteworthy.
