Mark Wahlberg’s daughter, 15, breaks collarbone on horseback in equestrian accident

Mark Wahlberg’s youngest daughter, Grace, was injured during a horseback riding competition on Saturday.

A 15-year-old with famous parents, who has gained a following of 60,000 on social media, posted a photo from a hospital bed wearing a sling. The caption read, ‘No pressure, we’ll be back.’

The 54-year-old actress, known for her role in ‘Play Dirty,’ reacted to an Instagram post with prayer hands, a mended heart, and a shocked, crying emoji.

Grace had been competing at Desert Horse Park in Thermal, CA on Saturday when she had the accident.

In the comments section, Mark Wahlberg’s girlfriend, Wynter Harrison, told her that breaking a collarbone is a common experience for people who ride.

Clavicle fractures usually heal in four to eight weeks, but a sponsored athlete expressed deep disappointment on TikTok Monday, saying that just as they were achieving their goals, they suffered an injury, feeling like it was a setback designed to stop their progress.

Grace, who has been riding horses since 2018, shared on TikTok on Wednesday that she was feeling down about not being able to ride right now.

Participating in this high-level equestrian sport is expensive, easily costing over $100,000 annually. This includes expenses like riding lessons, purchasing and caring for a horse, boarding fees, equipment, and competition costs.

Mark feels closest to his daughter Grace out of his four children, primarily because she shares his strong work ethic. He himself is an early riser, starting his day with a workout at 4 a.m.

‘My daughter, believe it or not, is more disciplined than me,’ Wahlberg told E! News in 2023.

Honestly, it took me until my thirties to really develop a strong sense of discipline, and it was driven by the demands of my career. Now, seeing my daughter embrace that same discipline – but completely on her own, fueled by her dream of becoming an Olympian – is just incredible.

The actor, who has been nominated for an Oscar twice, and his wife of 16 years, Rhea Durham, have three children: 22-year-old Ella, 19-year-old Michael, and 17-year-old Brendan.

Mark and the former Victoria’s Secret model first met in New York City in 2001, at a press event. Their first date was surprisingly a church service at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

The Wahlberg family traded Los Angeles for Las Vegas in 2022, purchasing a $15.6 million home. More recently, last month, they added another impressive property to their portfolio: a $37 million, seven-bedroom mansion in the private Stone Creek Ranch community of Delray Beach, Florida.

Mark Wahlberg is back as Dan Morgan in the new action comedy The Family Plan 2, which starts streaming on Apple TV November 21st. He’ll be joined by Michelle Monaghan and Kit Harington in the sequel, directed by Simon Cellan Jones.
