Similar to your favorite weekly TV shows, Dispatch is captivating and keeps you wanting more, just like a good episode. So far, every other episode has ended with a major cliffhanger, encouraging players to return the following week. In the latest installment, a significant revelation about Blonde Blazer’s relationship is made, and players are faced with a crucial decision that impacts Robert’s love life.
AdHoc Studio has delivered another strong pair of episodes with parts 5 and 6. But this time, instead of a hopeful reveal at the end, episode 6 concludes with a shocking cliffhanger. It leaves you desperately hoping for a positive outcome, while bracing for the worst. Prepare to be emotionally affected – it’s looking increasingly difficult to get through this season without a few tears.
Dispatch Episode 5 Is A Bit of a Slow Burn At First
No matter who you picked at the end of Dispatch Episode 4, Blonde Blazer doesn’t play a big role in Episodes 5 or 6. While this might be a letdown, it makes sense when you consider how much focus she had in Episode 1, compared to Invisigal who wasn’t introduced until Episode 2. Overall, Episode 5 feels like a transition between the first and second halves of the season, and it does a good job of showing the team coming together and finding common ground—though things quickly fall apart because they’re still a group of flawed individuals with criminal pasts.
Episode 5 features some of the most captivating and difficult parts of the game so far, specifically when managing dispatch calls and hacking. It demonstrates that AdHoc can create fun and repeatable gameplay even when you’re not watching story scenes. This makes us think a separate game focused on these dispatch missions and strategic management—with compelling characters to team up with—could be very successful.
Episode 5 contains several important scenes that will significantly shape how players view Robert, even if these moments don’t directly lead to major changes in the game. It’s clear that ‘Dispatch’ understands that character development doesn’t always need to result in gameplay consequences to be meaningful, and the game seems to appreciate that subtlety.
Dispatch Episode 6 Ends With a Gut-Wrenching Cliffhanger
For the past few weeks, the show Dispatch has been a fun and funny look at life for superheroes at work. But that changes dramatically in the last part of Episode 6. Without giving anything away, the episode ends on a really heartbreaking note, and it seems like things are about to get much worse – with potential heartbreak and betrayal ahead. Robert’s past decisions are also likely to have serious consequences, and the situation is quickly becoming very difficult.
In just a few hours, AdHoc Studio created characters that players quickly become invested in. Every character feels realistic because they all have both strengths and weaknesses. Even though the game takes place in a fantastical world with superpowers, the characters’ struggles and personalities are relatable, which makes the emotional impact of the ending of Episode 6 especially powerful.
The Final Two Episodes of Dispatch Are Building to Some Huge Moments
Robert is determined to become Mecha Man once more, and his team, the Z Team, is striving to improve themselves. “Dispatch” is a story about finding redemption and battling inner demons. After episodes 5 and 6, it’s become clear that the stakes are much higher than simply helping former villains get back on their feet, and a major crisis is brewing.
Man, after that ending to Episode 6, I can’t see myself just going back to taking dispatch calls like nothing happened. Those long cutscenes were cool, but things feel way too intense now. Whatever Robert and the team do in these last two episodes, it’s gonna be huge – I’m expecting some serious fallout for everyone. Honestly, I’m really hoping Waterboy gets a chance to shine. The guy deserves a big hero moment after everything!
The first six episodes of Dispatch are available now, with just two episodes left to complete the season. Episodes 7 and 8, which will finish the season, will be released on November 12th. Each episode is roughly an hour long, but the exact playtime can change based on how quickly and skillfully players solve the puzzles and strategy challenges.
