Demi Moore shows support for ex Bruce Willis at star-studded benefit show amid actor’s dementia battle

It was so moving to see Demi Moore arrive at the benefit show for Bruce Willis last night. Knowing what he’s going through with dementia just breaks your heart, but it was wonderful to see so many stars come out to honor him. She really led the way, and it felt like everyone was there to show their love and support.

I was absolutely devastated when I heard the news about Bruce Willis! After following his career for decades, it was such a shock to learn he was retiring from acting in 2022. It turned out he’d been battling a condition called aphasia, a really difficult cognitive disorder, and it finally became too much for him. It just broke my heart, honestly. In February 2023, Bruce Willis’ family announced he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). This type of dementia affects parts of the brain that control personality and the ability to communicate, leading to a slow decline in these areas.

Since his diagnosis, Bruce Willis has been lovingly cared for by his wife, Emma Hemming, 47. They share two daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.

Emma Heming Moore, who was married to Bruce Willis from 1987 to 2000, has been a supportive ex-wife during his health challenges, frequently keeping fans informed through social media updates.

On Wednesday evening, Moore was at a special Soho Sessions event in New York City, celebrating Bruce Willis and collecting donations for The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, a charity supporting those affected by the disease.

The event was advertised as a special evening and performance to honor Bruce Willis.

Moore looked stylish at the event, wearing a sleek all-black ensemble consisting of a black pea coat, a leather turtleneck, and skinny trousers.

The 62-year-old actress had long, dark hair flowing down, and she wore yellow-tinted glasses over her hazel eyes.

Since their divorce in 2000, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore have maintained a friendly relationship and successfully co-parented their children together.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore have three daughters: Rumer, who is 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31.

Also in attendance was Willis’ current wife Emma, who mingled with attendees while on crutches.

The 47-year-old author, who recently published a book about caregiving, smiled for the cameras while dressed in a black outfit resembling the one worn by Moore.
