- mo.co community manager confirms the game is safe despite low earnings and rumours.
- The team focuses on feedback and improvements, not revenue right now.
mo.co, the monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell, has been getting a lot of attention lately. Some players were concerned about the game being shut down, but Supercell has confirmed that it will remain available.
Okay, so everyone’s freaking out about Supercell shutting down Squad Busters next year, but João Freitas from mo.co jumped on X to reassure us. Basically, he said our game isn’t going anywhere. Apparently, the fact that Squad Busters isn’t making a ton of money was actually planned all along. It’s kinda weird, but good to know we’re safe!
The team is focused on a major revamp called neo mo.co for early 2026
Right now, the team is focused on making the game better, not on making a lot of money. They’re collecting feedback from players, studying how people play, and making improvements gradually. Supercell hasn’t done much advertising for the game yet because they want to keep the player community small while they perfect it before launching a larger marketing campaign.
Here are some frequently asked questions.
Is [it] going to be shut down?
No.But I saw reports on Twitter that it’s last in revenue for Supercell games!
We’re getting this question a lot. Right now, we have 99 other priorities, and revenue isn’t one of them. We understand your concern, but…— joao.co (@JoaoInTheNorth) November 3, 2025
He explained that the worldwide release of mo.co wasn’t about making a big splash, but about letting anyone play, no matter where they are, without needing workarounds like VPNs. The initial, limited access—only allowing invited players—was removed once the game was running smoothly, demonstrating the team’s cautious approach to growing the player base.
It’s understandable that players of mo.co were anxious about the possibility of the game shutting down. According to reports, mo.co is currently Supercell’s lowest-earning game, alongside Squad Busters. Given that both games recently received major updates – similar to what Squad Busters experienced – these concerns are widespread.
I’m really excited about what the developers are doing with this new update, called neo mo.co! From what I understand, they’re completely overhauling some of the game’s core systems to fix things that weren’t quite right and, hopefully, keep more players engaged. Joao said it’s not a do-or-die situation, but a really important move to set things up for even bigger and better updates down the line. It sounds like they’re building a solid foundation, and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

The team plans to release the new version in early 2026, although the date could shift. This release is expected to significantly shape the future of mo.co. It’s a bold project with a lot of promise, and we’re hoping it delivers on that potential.
