If Finn Wolfhard’s Latest Stranger Things Boast Pans Out, It Could Put The Show Alongside Breaking Bad And Six Feet Under

With so many streaming services offering original shows, one of the best on Netflix is definitely Stranger Things. This popular sci-fi series, available to Netflix subscribers, has a huge following, and everyone’s excited for the upcoming fifth and final season. Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, recently hinted that the ending is fantastic, and it makes me wonder if the show will be remembered as one of the all-time greats, like Six Feet Under or Breaking Bad.

Details about Stranger Things season 5 are scarce, but there’s a lot riding on it. Many shows finish strongly, but a bad finale can ruin everything – just ask Game of Thrones fans. Finn Wolfhard recently hinted that the ending for the story in Hawkins will be satisfying, saying:

I think that it has one of the greatest last episodes of any show.

That’s great news for fans of Stranger Things who have been anxious about how the show will end! Many were worried about which characters might not survive, and how the Duffer Brothers would tie up all the loose ends. But if Finn Wolfhard is right, the series finale is a huge success.

If the latest rumors are true, the final season of Stranger Things could be as impactful as the finales of shows like Six Feet Under. I consider the last episode of Six Feet Under – available on HBO Max – to be one of the best ever. It beautifully showed what happened to the Fisher family over many years, and how each character’s story ended. Breaking Bad also delivered a fantastic final season, bringing all the tension and loss to a truly emotional conclusion.

The trailer for Stranger Things Season 5 revealed the serious danger facing everyone, as the town of Hawkins is now under quarantine because of the attacks from the Upside Down. Finn Wolfhard also shared some hints about what fans can expect from his character, saying:

This season, Mike is more focused and determined than ever before, possibly even more so than when we first met him. He’s completely dedicated to defeating Vecna and protecting his town and friends, and it’s really rewarding to see his growth. He’s also stepping up and taking more initiative this season.

This sounds incredibly exciting! It appears our heroes are making a last-ditch effort to defeat Vecna and his army, with Mike playing a key role in the battle. Even though he doesn’t have superpowers like Eleven, he and the others have always found ways to fight the evil in Hawkins. You can watch the Season 5 trailer below to get a sneak peek!

After a long break, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is almost here! The first four episodes will be available on Netflix starting November 26th. Then, three more episodes will be released on December 25th, with the final episodes arriving on December 31st as part of the 2025 TV lineup. The wait is nearly over, and I’m optimistic that Finn Wolfhard’s hints about the ending suggest a fantastic conclusion.
