Wow, this season really delivers! Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride are absolutely phenomenal – honestly, some of the best acting I’ve seen from them, period. It’s easily one of the strongest seasons across everything in ‘The Walking Dead’ universe. Bigger, more intense, and just plain better – it’s a must-watch.

Undead Walking

Fan favorites Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus, known from The Bikeriders and Blade II) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride, who starred in The Mist and The Happys) are reunited in the highly anticipated The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3. This new season is described as ‘bigger, badder, and better than ever’ as the pair face a dangerous journey through zombie-filled Europe, hoping to find their way back home.

The third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and a box set containing seasons one through three will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 8, 2025, from Acorn Media International. All episodes will also be available digitally starting December 6, 2025. With the final season coming soon, now is the perfect time to catch up on this thrilling series – it makes a great Christmas gift for fans of the show!

Season three introduces several new actors to the cast, including Óscar Jaenada (known for The Losers and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Hugo Arbues (Past Lies), and Candela Saitta (Maxima). British comedian Stephen Merchant (The Office, Extras) will also make a memorable guest appearance.

Daryl and Carol find themselves in the shattered remains of London, where they meet Julian, a solitary survivor convinced he’s the only person left in England. After a dangerous attempt to escape across the English Channel goes wrong, they’re shipwrecked on the Spanish coast and pulled into a dangerous new society filled with other survivors, fanatical groups, and secret motives.

Traveling through the ruined, sun-baked lands of post-apocalyptic Spain, I found myself really invested in Daryl and Carol’s journey when they stumbled upon this little community. It’s led by Antonio, played by Eduardo Noriega – you might recognize him from Open Your Eyes and The Last Stand – and this incredibly strong woman named Paz, portrayed by Alexandra Masangkay, who was fantastic in The Platform. Watching Daryl and Carol, I could feel the tension – they’re loyal to each other, but also wrestling with what’s right. It makes you wonder if they’ll finally find a reason to settle down, or if they’ll keep pushing on towards home, haunted by everything they’ve been through. It’s a powerful question, and I was completely hooked to see what they’d decide.

The first season follows Daryl as he lands in France, the place where the zombie outbreak began. While trying to return home, he clashes with a powerful, emerging authoritarian group based in Paris. He also becomes the guardian of Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi), a young boy who a hopeful religious group, the Union de L’Espoir, believes is humanity’s savior.

Season two follows Daryl as he adjusts to life in a dangerous, post-apocalyptic France, protecting the people he’s come to see as family – Isabelle (Clémence Poésy, known from Harry Potter, The Tunnel, and In Bruges) and Laurent – while also fighting off terrifying creatures. Across the ocean in the US, Carol is on a determined search for a friend she lost during The Walking Dead. Separated by distance and facing constant threats from both the living and the undead, Carol and Daryl each navigate their own challenges as they try to find their way back to each other.

With its blend of intense action, surprising plot twists, and strong character connections, set against a unique European setting, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 demonstrates that the Walking Dead universe still has compelling stories to tell.
