Kim Kardashian’s “empty” divorce drama branded “unwatchable” as it lands 0% Rotten Tomatoes score

Critics are calling Kim Kardashian’s new show, All’s Fair, “unwatchable.” The legal drama, created by Ryan Murphy (known for American Horror Story), premiered on Disney+ on October 4th and has received overwhelmingly negative reviews, currently holding a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Guardian described it as shockingly bad – so terrible, it almost feels like an insult.

Critics weren’t simply disliking the show – they found it genuinely bad. The Nightly bluntly called it ‘unwatchable.’ The Times was more detailed, explaining that while the show presents itself as a feminist story about lawyers fighting against wealthy, unkind men, it actually celebrates the very greed and self-importance it claims to oppose.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show is a boring and forgettable drama on Hulu. They compared watching it to simply seeing random images from a show you’ve never seen, suggesting that might actually be a better experience given how unengaging All’s Fair is, despite its attempts at being glamorous and exciting.

In a similar vein, Variety criticized the show, calling All’s Fair a poorly executed and patronizing attempt at “girlboss” feminism, and noting it wasn’t even up to par for Brian Murphy, one of its creators (along with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz).

Meet Allura Grant (played by Kardashian), Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts), and Emerald Greene (Niecy Nash-Betts), the leading lawyers in All’s Fair. The show follows these three women as they run Grant Ronson Greene & Associates, a Los Angeles law firm dedicated to helping women through divorce.

Allura, Liberty, and Emerald juggle demanding cases at work with the challenges in their personal lives, all while dealing with their ongoing rivalry with Carrington Lane (Sarah Paulson).

Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, Glenn Close and Ed O’Neill round out the cast.

In an interview with BBC News, Kardashian explained that she and her fellow cast members started the project with no prior knowledge, eager to witness Eddie Murphy’s talent and creativity on set.

She explained that Ryan deliberately focused on supporting women, and he was passionate about creating casts led by female actors. He felt strongly that this was the only way to approach the project and wrote it accordingly.

All’s Fair is available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
