The latest update to Wuthering Waves, version 2.7, introduces two new resonators, including Qiuyuan, a rare five-star character. After testing Qiuyuan in this action RPG, I’ve put together a guide to help you build her effectively.
We’ve also updated our resources with information on voice actors, including how to avoid getting banned and what’s being done to prevent leaks. Plus, you’ll find current redeem codes, a guide to rerolling, a beginner’s guide, element explanations, controller settings, details on weapon types and echoes, tips for playing with friends, ways to earn Astrite, and a tier list to help you optimize your gameplay.
Qiuyuan: Resonator Overview
The Resonator is a powerful five-star character specializing in the Aero element and wielding a sword. He’s only available during limited-time events and excels as a sub-DPS, with an overall strength considered to be top-tier.
The Resonator excels at using echo skills, and a good echo build can significantly increase damage output. Focusing on echo skills also boosts overall damage. While he might be challenging to use early on, he becomes very effective as you improve his level. Although some believe you need a top-tier team to get the most out of Qiuyuan, free-to-play players have viable options too. We’ll cover everything – his abilities, skills, weapons, echoes, and more – to help you understand how and when to use him effectively.

Qiuyuan Abilities in Wuthering Waves
Okay, so this character is a support damage dealer – not a main DPS, but really good at buffing my sword-wielding characters and adding some serious damage to their attacks. What’s cool is both his starting and finishing moves give a big boost to critical hit damage, and they also increase the damage output of the whole team! It’s a win-win.
However, we’ll take an inside-out look to better understand the character.
