“Nerdy” police procedural that’s up there with “the best British mysteries” is streaming in UK now

Fans of British mysteries can now enjoy Art Detectives on U, a streaming service in the UK. The show, which has been popular overseas for months, is a police procedural focusing on art and antiques. It follows Detective Inspector Mick Palmer (played by Stephen Moyer, known from True Blood) and Detective Constable Shazia Malik (Nina Singh from Virdee), as they work within the Heritage Crime Unit.

This duo investigates murders linked to the art and antiques world, covering everything from classic paintings and modern street art to ancient manuscripts and valuable records.

Larry Lamb, known for his role in Gavin & Stacey, and Sarah Alexander, from Green Wing, are also joining the cast. Lamb will play Mick’s father.
