A new Batman show from DC is coming out in just one week, and it appears to be a must-see for Batman fans. Over the years, Batman has starred in some fantastic, yet often overlooked, TV series. It all started with the hugely popular Batman: The Animated Series, which paved the way for many other captivating shows that brought the Dark Knight’s adventures to television.
Initially, the new DC Universe timeline made it seem like Batman wouldn’t be featured prominently for a while, leading up to his official introduction. However, that’s not the case at all – a new Batman series is actually launching very soon.
Bat-Fam Releases In Early November 2025
I’m so excited! We’re finally getting more Batman content from DC, and it’s coming soon! The new animated series, Bat-Fam, is dropping on Amazon Prime Video on November 10, 2025. It’s been a while since we first saw this cool animated take on Gotham – Merry Little Batman came out way back in December 2023, and I’ve been waiting for more ever since!
The trailer for the Bat-Family show suggests it will keep focusing on the lives of Bruce Wayne and his family, and their complicated relationships. This season, Damian, Bruce, and Alfred will be joined by new characters like Man-Bat, Ra’s Al Ghul, and Claire Selton, a former child villain who’s trying to turn her life around.
The show introduces Claire through Alicia Pennyworth, Alfred’s niece and a social worker guiding Claire’s recovery, and integrates her into the core “Bat-Family.” This fresh approach offers exciting new storylines and allows viewers to see Batman and his son working to improve Gotham in diverse ways, creating a very promising start.
Why Bat-Fam Is Worth Watching
Many DC stories have explored Batman’s relationships with the young people he takes under his wing, but his connection with his son, Damian Wayne, hasn’t been fully shown on screen. This relationship is particularly interesting because Damian is both Batman’s sidekick and his son, offering a unique dynamic that deserves further exploration.
The potential for a team comprised of former or partially reformed villains – hinted at by the storylines for Claire and characters like Man-Bat and Ra’s Al Ghul – is a compelling aspect of the upcoming series. Exploring the idea of villain rehabilitation is something DC films and shows rarely do, and it could add significant depth to both the show and its characters.
Even if you don’t watch Merry Little Batman, Bat-Fam is still a great choice for Batman fans. It offers a fresh take on the characters and is a heartwarming story about family, making it perfect for a cozy winter watch.
