As a huge DC fan, I’ve been following the casting news with intense interest, and it’s clear that getting Batman and Wonder Woman right is absolutely crucial for the success of James Gunn’s DCU. While there are so many incredible heroes to choose from, these two feel particularly make-or-break. Lately, though, one actress has really emerged as the frontrunner for Wonder Woman, and honestly, she feels like the perfect fit for the role going forward.

Between 1967 and 2013, four different attempts to create a live-action Wonder Woman series were canceled or never officially broadcast, contributing to the scarcity of these appearances.
The new Wonder Woman movie in the DC Universe has a chance to really showcase the character’s potential on the big screen. It could be a turning point for Wonder Woman, who hasn’t always gotten the attention she deserves in live-action films, regardless of who plays her – even if it’s Alexandra Daddario.
