Team Falcons had a strong start to their Dota 2 season, winning their first tournament since The International 2025 – FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2.
FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 has concluded, and Team Falcons pulled off an incredible run from the lower bracket to take the championship. The tournament began with 16 teams and featured some exciting upsets, as teams like MOUZ and Team Yandex challenged the favorites. Ultimately, though, the winners of The International 2025 demonstrated their dominance and proved why they’re considered a top Dota 2 team.
Team Falcons: FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 champions

Just under two weeks ago, the FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 tournament began with 16 teams competing in a challenging Group Stage. Teams played multiple best-of-three matches, and only those finishing in the top half would advance to the playoffs. Falcons dominated their group, winning all three of their series against Team Liquid, BetBoom Team, and MOUZ, and securing the top spot. Interestingly, they’ll face all three of those same opponents again in the playoff bracket.
The defending champions had a rough start to the playoffs, unexpectedly falling to the lower bracket after a strong performance from MOUZ. This is where Team Falcons really began to excel at FISSUE PLAYGROUND 2. They fought their way through the lower bracket, defeating teams like Tundra Esports, Team Spirit, Liquid, and Team Yandex. Despite some close matches, they consistently won, earning a spot in the grand finals.
Meanwhile, BB Team was performing exceptionally well in the upper bracket. They defeated Liquid, Spirit, and Yandex, earning a spot in the grand finals against Falcons. BB Team started strong with a fantastic first game, managing to take the lead. However, that would be their only victory. Falcons quickly adapted in the following games and consistently outplayed BB Team.
Team Falcons won decisively against BB Team with a score of 3-1, claiming the championship at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2. This victory marks a strong start to the year for the team, especially after winning TI 2025. They’ll continue their season soon at BLAST Slam IV, where they are one of six teams competing in the playoffs.
Falcons appear revitalized and prepared for a strong Dota 2 season. Whether other teams can adapt and discover how to beat them remains to be seen.
