Duet Night Abyss is a thrilling game that combines exciting combat, a fantastical world, and a compelling story. Like many action RPGs, it’s even more fun when played with friends – tackling challenging missions, performing coordinated attacks, and showing off your character’s style with a supportive team makes the experience truly special.
Good news for team players: Duet Night Abyss lets you play online with friends! It even supports crossplay, meaning you can team up with people on different platforms, and offers missions that adjust to your team size. You won’t have access to multiplayer right away though – you’ll need to progress through the story a bit first before you can join other Phoxhunters in co-op.
Playing Co-Op with Friends in Duet Night Abyss
Playing with a friend in the Duet Night Abyss co-op mode makes the game’s already exciting combat even better. You can definitely play the game on your own, but it’s much more fun when you team up with friends to complete missions.
Whether you’re collecting resources, completing challenges, or trying out new strategies, playing with others makes the experience more exciting and worthwhile. Duet Night Abyss lets you team up with up to three other players online to tackle everything together.
Team up with friends to battle enemies, plan attacks together, and combine your powers for awesome results! Currently, the main focus for cooperative play is on special missions – think of them as challenging dungeons where you can fight monsters, gather materials, and earn rewards more quickly when you work as a team.
As a fan, I’ve found that playing with a friend really speeds things up! We take down enemies way faster, and sharing loot means collecting things like Carmine Globules, Thread of Time, or even Secret Letter Clues isn’t nearly as much of a chore. It makes the whole experience so much smoother and more fun.
How to add Friends in Duet Night Abyss
To play missions with others, you’ll first need to unlock the Friends feature and connect with players. You can’t add friends immediately; you’ll need to advance a bit in the game’s story first.
Unlocking the Friends Feature
You can play with friends and access the co-op system after completing the main quest, “Black Iron and White Flower.” This quest is an important story moment involving Psyche, and finishing it unlocks both multiplayer and several new features that make the game more enjoyable as you progress.
Sharing your UID and Adding Friends
In Duet Night Abyss, each player has a special, personal ID number, called a User ID (UID). You’ll need this number to connect with and add friends. Here’s how to locate yours:
- Tap the main menu icon at the top-left of your screen.
 - Look just under your Phoxhunter’s name, your UID will be displayed there.
 - You can either copy it directly or write it down manually to share with friends.

Once you’ve exchanged UIDs, here’s how to send a request:
- Go to Menu > Friends.
 - Tap on Add Friend and enter your friend’s UID.
 - Hit Send Request.

Your friend will get a notification under Menu > Friends > Friend Requests. After they accept, you’ll both be on each other’s friend lists, and you’ll be able to play together in co-op mode.

Okay, so I finally got the Friends feature unlocked and added all my buddies. Now the real fun begins – we can actually team up and hit the battlefield together!
Unlocking Co-op Missions
Co-op play is currently available only for commission missions, which are the main dungeons you can repeat in Duet Night Abyss. These missions challenge your fighting abilities, give you valuable items to improve your gear, and now allow you to team up with other players.

To start a co-op session:
- Open the Commissions menu.
 - Choose a mission that supports co-op.
 - Tap the Invite button and select a friend from your list.
 - Once they accept, you’ll both enter the mission lobby.

Once you’re set up, you can plan your gear, choose your characters, and start playing. Everyone controls their own character, but you’ll work together to achieve common goals and battle the same enemies.
