Sean Hyunil Sohn explained that the 2026 Roadmap is much more than just a schedule of events. He described it as a clear path for Indian gamers to develop their skills, starting at the local level and ultimately competing on the world stage. The Roadmap is designed to build a stronger gaming community by finding new talent regionally, supporting them through national competitions, and giving them opportunities to represent India internationally.
Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at KRAFTON India, explained that they aim to provide a platform for all players – from newcomers to top competitors – to demonstrate their abilities and compete for India on the world stage. By expanding their tournament circuit, they hope to create more opportunities, increase recognition, and help Indian esports develop and succeed internationally.

India’s esports community has exploded in popularity over the last year. It’s gone from small online competitions to large-scale events held in stadiums, attracting big audiences and being broadcast internationally. Just in 2025, tournaments organized by KRAFTON India offered a total of over ₹4 crore (about $450,000) in prize money.
