She’s famous for playing a strong and fearless space warrior in a hugely popular science fiction movie, and is remembered for shouting ‘Let’s rock!’ right before going into combat.
Viewers have seen her battle aliens, portray a dangerous vampire, and even play a mother figure while navigating a world threatened by a deadly robot.
She appeared in three of the director’s most famous films, demonstrating her ability to convincingly play characters in any of his imaginative worlds, from an Irish immigrant on a doomed ocean liner to a hotel worker in a dangerous city.
Even after a stunning start to her career, this actress continued working steadily, appearing in guest roles on several popular and well-regarded TV dramas.
She’s left behind her days on movie sets and now runs a successful lingerie company, playfully known for offering sizes starting with a D cup.
Even though she’s retired her pulse rifle, I still consider her a total sci-fi legend, and it’s amazing to see so many other fans agree with me whenever she shows up at Comic-Con. Everyone still treats her like the fierce icon she is!
Can you guess who?

It’s Jenette Goldstein!
This 65-year-old actress was spotted running errands in Los Angeles this month.
Goldstein looked effortlessly stylish in boyfriend jeans, a loose gray top, and a speckled gray cardigan.
She wore her hair in her signature messy bun, with a single strand of gray adding a touch of color. She completed the look with a black purse, sunglasses, and tan sandals.
Born in Los Angeles in 1960, Goldstein had the ideal background to pursue acting. She honed her skills with training in both the United States and the United Kingdom before achieving success in Hollywood.
Oh my gosh, 1986 was EVERYTHING! That’s when she finally got the recognition she deserved – playing Private Vasquez in Aliens! And directed by James Cameron, no less! It was an instant classic, and honestly, I knew she was destined for greatness the moment I saw her on screen. It was a total game-changer!

Goldstein told TooFab magazine she was surprised by how long the movies have remained popular, but she’s a big fan of them.
As someone who’s always loved a good genre film, I have to mention Michael Goldstein’s work in ‘Near Dark’! He really made a name for himself playing Diamondback, the seriously menacing vampire in that fantastic neo-Western from 1987, directed by the incredible Kathryn Bigelow. It’s a role that truly stands out and helped solidify him as a memorable face in sci-fi.
In the 1980s, she appeared in minor roles in several films, including The Presidio (1988), Miracle Mile (1988), and Lethal Weapon 2 (1989).
One of her most prominent roles in the 1990s was in Cameron’s blockbuster Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), where she played the mother of John Connor, tragically killed by the T-1000 cyborg.
Goldstein reunited with Cameron for a small part in the 1997 film Titanic, playing the role of an Irish immigrant.
Besides his film work, Goldstein also guest-starred in popular TV series like ER (1998–2004), Six Feet Under (2001), and 24 (2004).

She was last well-known for providing the voice of the computer on the USS Enterprise in the 2019 series, Star Trek: Short Treks.
As the 2000s began, actress Goldstein’s career became less active, so she started a business. In 2009, she launched Jenette Bras, a lingerie brand, in Los Angeles.
The brand’s tagline, ‘The alphabet starts at D’, represents its focus on providing for women with larger busts. This concept originated from a personal experience the founder had while at a convention in England, during a fitting at a Bravissimo store.
Goldstein shared a story with Authority Magazine that perfectly captured what her company stands for.
I’ll never forget a customer who came in to buy a bikini for a trip to Hawaii. She and her husband were thrilled to be celebrating a pregnancy after experiencing three miscarriages.
‘The fitting ended in tears and hugs (and a bikini).’
Goldstein continues to make appearances at science fiction conventions, including Comic-Con. She recently attended Fan Expo Chicago in August, where she reunited with her Alien co-stars Mark Rolston, Paul Reiser, William Hope, and Ricco Ross.
Goldstein is married to painter Aaron Noble, who is also a co-creator of her lingerie company.
