Tess Daly fondly remembered 21 years of cherished memories with her daughter Phoebe, sharing a heartwarming photo taken at the Strictly Come Dancing studios.
Tess Daly, 56, began hosting Strictly Come Dancing with Bruce Forsyth in 2004, which was also the year her daughter, Phoebe, now 21, was born.
On Sunday, Tess shared a stylish photo with her daughter on Instagram, explaining that Phoebe has grown up around the studio her whole life.
In the photo, Tess was wearing the black velvet mini-dress she famously wore during Halloween week on Strictly Come Dancing.
Meanwhile Phoebe opted for a burgundy midi-dress featuring sequined fabric and spaghetti straps.
Tess shared how wonderful it was to have Phoebe at her show last night, noting that Phoebe has been attending for an incredible 21 years – practically her whole life!

Tess Daly shared a nostalgic post shortly after news broke that she and Claudia Winkleman are leaving their roles as hosts of Strictly Come Dancing at the end of the current season.
Phoebe recently turned 21 and is studying film production. She lives between London and Dubai.
She seems to be adjusting to fame easily. Despite being a busy university student, she’s managing red carpet events and luxurious family vacations with grace.
I’ve always known Phoebe’s true passion isn’t being on screen! She’s told me herself she’d much rather be involved with the behind-the-scenes work – the production and editing, specifically. Honestly, she’d happily leave the presenting to her parents, which I think is really cool. It’s where her heart truly is.
I’m interested in acting, but I’ll stick to letting my parents handle presenting. Right now, I’m still figuring out what career path is right for me.
For me, university is about discovering your path. I’m really interested in getting some practical work experience – I’m happy to start in an entry-level position and learn the ropes.
As a parent myself, I completely understand the desire to protect your children. Phoebe’s parents made a conscious decision to keep her and her sister, Amber, who’s now 15, away from the pressures of fame until they were old enough to choose for themselves if they wanted a public life. It was about giving them the freedom to decide, and that’s a really thoughtful approach, as Vernon explained.
‘Phoebe is very mature,’ he continued. ‘I’ve got confidence she will know how to deal with it.’

I noticed something really sweet last month! Vernon shared a birthday message for his daughter on social media, and honestly, she’s the absolute spitting image of Tess – it’s amazing how much they look alike!
I’m so thrilled for Phoebe! Her dad, Vernon, just shared that she’s turning 21 today, and he’s absolutely beaming with pride. He says the celebrations are going to be amazing, and honestly, she deserves all the happiness in the world – he clearly thinks she’s the best daughter anyone could ask for, and I can see why!
Phoebe is now an influencer, sharing glimpses of her exciting life with an increasingly large audience online.
Unlike many celebrities with famous parents, she didn’t appear on a red carpet until 2023, when she joined the premiere of John Wick: Chapter 4 in London.
Eighteen-year-old Phoebe looked fashionable in a flowing white shirt and shiny black pleather pants as she walked with her father, Vernon.
Vernon recently shared that he and his wife, Tess, don’t want their children to rely on their celebrity status. He emphasized that he wants them to build their own independent careers.
He mentioned to the Daily Mail that he was considering drama schools for Phoebe, hoping she could pursue both her love of acting and her interest in business.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe where I’ve been! My family and I were practically hanging out with everyone famous on British TV! And it wasn’t just once – my sibling, who’s at university, walked the red carpet at two Bafta parties, one right after the other! It was insane, seriously, rubbing shoulders with all those stars… I’m still buzzing!

Phoebe, who was 19 at the time, accompanied her well-known father to the glamorous Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Party in February 2024. This was their first public appearance together.
Phoebe looked like a true movie star in a shimmering silver dress at the event, held at London’s Four Seasons hotel, while her father, Vernon, kept a close watch over her.
He didn’t need to worry, though. Phoebe, just like her mother, was calm, poised, and elegant while having her picture taken.
According to Hello! magazine, the father and daughter enjoyed the evening chatting with guests including Emily Atack, Katherine Ryan, Ed McVey, and Matt and Emma Willis.
They mentioned that Matt even photographed them with the famous Bafta statue.
