Benson Boone had to cancel his concert in Birmingham just under an hour before he was scheduled to perform on Saturday.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter is currently touring the US with his American Heart World Tour, and he recently performed in Glasgow on Thursday.
He was scheduled to perform in Birmingham on Saturday night, but he posted on Instagram less than an hour before the show, saying he was too sick to perform at the Utilita Arena.
Benson explained that he was sick with a sore throat and couldn’t perform because his voice wasn’t up to par.
The artist assured his Birmingham fans that he and his team were making every effort to find a new date for the concert.
I’m so sorry to announce that I won’t be able to perform in Birmingham tonight. I’ve done everything I can to get my voice back, but my throat isn’t up to par, and I wouldn’t be able to give you the show you deserve.
My team and I are working to find a new date for our meeting as quickly as possible. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes.
I’m truly sorry and I’ll do my best to fix things. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have more information. Thank you for all your support – I really appreciate you all.
It’s still uncertain if Benson will perform at his three upcoming shows in London next week before heading to Europe. He hasn’t confirmed his appearance yet.
