10 Invincible Characters Who Should Survive The Entire Series

Each season of Invincible has become more intense and violent, and season 3 has shown that even major characters are at risk. While some deaths are necessary for the story to progress, there are certain characters fans believe should survive no matter what.

The end of Invincible season 3 saw Mark and Eve barely escape a devastating attack, but not everyone fared so well. The popular character Rex Splode died in the episode before, during the Invincible War. However, his death was a brave and meaningful sacrifice that finished his story and highlighted the coldness of Angstrom Levy’s scheme.

Rex’s heartbreaking death in Invincible season 3 signaled that the show wouldn’t hold back from killing off major characters, putting everyone at risk. However, the popular superhero series still needs to keep some characters alive, and here are 10 who have a good chance of making it to the finish line.

10. Monster Girl

Monster Girl has a sad backstory, and it seemed like her future would be equally bleak. However, when Rudy revealed his work on a temporary cure for her condition in season 3 of Invincible, it raised the possibility that she might actually find happiness despite everything she’s been through.

While a dramatic sacrifice could be impactful, many other heroes could fulfill that role just as well. It would be more satisfying to see Amanda learn to control her abilities and find a hopeful resolution, rather than have her story end tragically, especially considering how difficult things have already been for her.

9. The Mauler Twins

Even though the Mauler Twins appeared to die in season 3 of Invincible, it’s possible they actually survived. If they did, they should continue to appear throughout the rest of the series. They’ve been a consistent source of humor, and while they deserve consequences for their actions, they aren’t nearly as villainous as some other characters in the Invincible universe.

Despite facing potential jail time, the villains seemed surprisingly at peace with their situation. Because they’re both funny and clever, and consistently entertaining, it makes sense for the show to stick with the original comics and reveal that the Mauler Twins actually survived.

8. William Clockwell

Though Mark’s college friend, William, doesn’t have a large part in the show, he’s important to the main character’s journey. While he can’t offer superhero guidance or fully grasp Mark’s struggles, William provides a welcome sense of balance with his funny and kind nature.

Besides being funny, William is a true friend to Mark. If he survives the whole series, it would show that the main character can protect the people he cares about, even when facing supernatural dangers. And let’s be honest, the popular “Where’s season x William?” memes wouldn’t be as funny if he was gone.

7. Donald Ferguson

When we first met Cecil’s assistant, he appeared to be just another agent. However, learning about his difficult history, he eventually found some peace. Though he died, Donald was reconstructed as a cyborg and has been killed repeatedly, remaining unaware of his grim destiny until season 2 of Invincible, when he decided to accept these memories.

The experience was deeply upsetting for him, but he persevered and continued to be a kind and heroic person. Though he doesn’t have any special abilities, Donald is now even more determined to help others, and he even saved Rick’s life. He’s earned a peaceful retirement, not a tragic end.

6. The Immortal

While The Immortal isn’t the most popular character, it feels right that he’s survived longer than many others. Season 3 of Invincible hinted at what a very long life could mean for him, and although that might seem like a setup for his death, it also creates a unique opportunity to change his destiny.

Living forever has clearly been a burden for him, but with friends like Mark by his side, he might finally find some peace. Even if he loses his mind, it would be more compelling to watch how his allies cope with an unstable immortal than to simply end his life – if that’s even possible.

5. Art Rosenbaum

Art doesn’t need to die, especially since he’s a valuable character despite not appearing often. He’s not just a talented costume designer; he also provides important emotional support to Mark, Debbie, and even Omni-Man.

It would be devastating if Art became a casualty in a larger conflict, and while his potential loss could motivate Mark, he’s already experienced enough tragedy. Art is essential to keeping Invincible relatable and human, and the show needs to maintain that emotional core, so it’s vital he survives.

4. Debbie Grayson

Like Art and William, Debbie is a key personal connection for the main character outside of his superhero life, and she’s a character the show definitely needs throughout the whole series. Not only is she a wonderful mother to Mark, but Debbie has also grown as a character herself, revealing surprising layers and complexity.

Debbie has done her best to guide Mark and Oliver, but raising two superheroes alone has been incredibly difficult, particularly after her husband hurt her. Her journey in Invincible has been filled with stress and challenges, and she hopes it will all be worth it if she can finish the story alive, healthy, and, above all, happy.

3. Allen the Alien

Following his surprising ‘death’ in season 2, Allen the Kick-Ass is too funny and important to stay gone from Invincible. While the show has many comedic characters, Allen’s unique energy is a perfect fit, offering consistent laughs alongside his skills as a powerful fighter who’s vital to defeating the Viltrum Empire.

Even though Allen often acts silly, he’s likely more powerful than Omni-Man in Invincible, making him one of the show’s strongest characters. Fans adore him, he’s crucial to the plot, and he consistently improves every episode, all of which points to him surviving until the very end of the series.

2. Mark Grayson

While it seems obvious Mark should live through Invincible, many heroes on TV ultimately sacrifice themselves. Mark shouldn’t fall into that trope. Throughout the series, he’s constantly faced hardship, whether it’s physical injuries, concerns for his family and friends, or damage to his reputation.

Many main characters go through difficult times, but Mark Grayson in Invincible has experienced an extraordinary amount of trauma, and he always keeps fighting. This challenging path has led him to kill, or believe he has killed, others throughout the series, which has understandably taken a toll on his mental state.

Things will keep getting harder for him as he encounters increasingly dangerous challenges. However, with his unwavering determination, Mark needs to overcome the final fight and finally get the happy ending he’s earned.

1. Atom Eve

It’s easy to think Mark Grayson should be the one to survive the events of Invincible. But arguably, it’s even more crucial that Atom Eve lives. Of all the people Mark has fought to protect, Eve feels the most important – even more so than his own family.

She’s also had a powerful journey of self-discovery, figuring out how to become a hero and use her abilities to help others. When at her strongest, Atom Eve could even surpass Mark in power, suggesting she has the potential to make a huge positive impact on the world if she fully develops her skills.

Perhaps most importantly, all of Mark’s struggles would feel less meaningful if he failed to protect the woman he loves. Eve has brought joy to his life and is one of the most genuinely heroic characters in Invincible, making her incredibly deserving of survival throughout the series.
