A new trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen: Extraction has been released.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Extraction is a new movie based on the hit Japanese anime and manga series, Jujutsu Kaisen. It features a special look at the ‘Shibuya Incident’ storyline and will also include the first two episodes of the next season, ‘Culling Game Part 1,’ which will be available to stream in January 2026.

When will Jujutsu Kaisen: Extraction be released?
Fans in the United States can experience a special one-night-only IMAX event for Jujutsu Kaisen: Extraction on December 3, 2025. Distributed by GKIDS, the film will be shown in roughly 100 IMAX theaters across the country. A new IMAX poster for the event is available below.
Okay, so I’m really excited because Jujutsu Kaisen: Extraction is hitting theaters across the country on December 5th! And the best part? We’ll be able to watch it with the original Japanese audio or with an English dub – which is awesome for those of us who prefer subtitles or just want a more relaxed viewing experience.
The movie begins with a sudden, mysterious barrier trapping people in the crowded Shibuya area during Halloween. Satoru Gojo, an incredibly powerful sorcerer, arrives to deal with the chaos, but he’s ambushed by enemies who want to capture him. Yuji Itadori and his fellow sorcerers jump into the battle, creating a massive and unprecedented showdown of curses known as the Shibuya Incident.
Following a devastating event, ten cities across Japan become overrun with curses as part of a scheme by Noritoshi Kamo, a notoriously powerful and evil sorcerer. With the dangerous Culling Game beginning, Yuta Okkotsu, a highly skilled sorcerer, is tasked with executing Yuji Itadori due to his alleged offenses. An early look at the intense showdown between Satoru Gojo’s two students will be shown on the big screen. Don’t miss the chance to see Yuji and Yuta’s crucial battle as Season 3 kicks off in theaters everywhere.
