‘Oh No, I’ve Just Said Too Much:’ Jonathan Bailey Revealed A Detail About Bridgerton’s Season 4 Premiere That I Can’t Stop Thinking About

Fans of the Bridgerton series on Netflix won’t have to wait much longer for Season 4, which will focus on the romance between Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek. Though it won’t arrive until early 2025, the new season promises plenty of Regency-era love stories, and Jonathan Bailey, who returns to the cast, recently shared an interesting detail about when it will premiere.

What Did Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey Say About Season 4’s Premiere?

While fans are disappointed that Jonathan Bailey won’t be as central to Bridgerton Season 4, he’s supportive of the show and happy with his time playing Anthony, and is open to returning if asked. He also seems enthusiastic about the series and recently shared some intriguing details about the first episode of the new season.

When speaking with Time about the new set of episodes, Bailey made a reveal about the premiere of the fourth season and said:

I watched the first episode, and it’s amazing! There’s a particular shot early on that fans are going to love – it explores some new areas of the house. Oops, I might have revealed too much! Oh well, it’s not a live broadcast anyway.

Sorry, Johnny, but you’ve definitely shared some interesting details about the upcoming season of Bridgerton! The show is known for being fantastic, so we’re all hoping the new season will be amazing. You mentioned something about exploring new areas within the Bridgerton household that might really surprise fans… And he went on to say:

That’s fantastic! We’ve added some new cast members, and they’re all doing a wonderful job. Luke is especially great, and Yerin, Katie, and everyone else who’s joined are truly brilliant – we’re incredibly excited about it, and you should be too!

Okay, so everyone knows Bridgerton is based on books, right? Well, Benedict’s story is going to be based on the third book, An Offer from a Gentleman. Honestly, if you’ve read it, you pretty much know where things are headed with him and Ms. Baek. But the fun part is, we still don’t know how they’re going to fall in love – the details are still a mystery!

The story is essentially a Cinderella tale, as Sophie isn’t a member of high society and is treated as a servant by her stepmother, working as a maid in the house. While the series has featured staff members before – characters like Mrs. Varley, Mrs. Wilson, and Brimsley have even had significant roles – we haven’t really gotten a detailed look at what life is like for the servants themselves.

I’m not sure exactly how they’ll do it – perhaps by showing a servant moving between the family’s rooms and the staff areas – but I expect the show will quickly highlight how vital the servants are to the Bridgerton household and finally give us a good look at what life is like ‘downstairs’.

Never mind about me questioning how amazing that could be. Doesn’t Bridgerton always manage to surprise us?
