I’ve always admired Julia Fox for being so unapologetically herself, but honestly, even I’m a little shocked by her latest move. People are really upset, and I can see why – it feels like she might have crossed a line this time.
Julia Fox caused a stir when she attended a Halloween party in New York City dressed as Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Her outfit specifically recreated the iconic pink suit Onassis wore the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, which many found to be in poor taste.
The outfit was immediately famous – it was the same pink suit Jackie Kennedy wore on the day President Kennedy was assassinated while they were riding in a motorcade in 1963.
Honestly, the look was already turning heads, but then Kerri Fox really took it to another level! She added this incredible – and slightly shocking – detail: fake blood splattered all over her gorgeous pink suit and matching pillbox hat. It was definitely a statement!
History recalls that the First Lady made a striking and somber choice: she refused to change her bloodstained clothing. This powerful image has since become a lasting symbol of the national tragedy.
People remembered that feeling while looking at pictures online of Julia happily posing in the outfit, appearing to ignore all the recent debate around it.

And they didn’t hold back.
One critic called it ‘so tasteless,’ arguing that ‘tragedy is not a costume.’ Another simply found it ‘too disrespectful.’
This is unacceptable. I apologize to the Onassis and Kennedy families for having to witness this and be reminded of painful memories.
People reacted strongly, with one user saying it was shocking and inappropriate, and another calling it disrespectful and vulgar.
Someone else commented that the behavior was disrespectful and unpleasant, but they weren’t surprised, given who it came from.
The outrage centers around one of the most famous garments in U.S. history.
The pink suit Jackie Kennedy wore – created by Oleg Cassini – was never cleaned after President Kennedy’s assassination and still bears his bloodstains.
According to reports, Jackie Kennedy’s housekeeper, Providencia Paredes, put the suit in a bag after the First Lady came back to the White House following the tragic events.

It’s now preserved by the National Archives in Maryland, locked away from public view until 2103.
The 2023 documentary JFK: One Day in America retold the heartbreaking story of Jackie Kennedy’s suit, featuring Secret Service agent Clint Hill’s chilling account of the moments after the shooting in Dallas.
He explained that he ran to the back of the car. Mrs. Kennedy was shouting, ‘I love Jack,’ but he didn’t get there quickly enough.
It’s a scene that’s forever burned into my memory. After the shooting, I learned that Jackie held her husband, President Kennedy, as he died in the car. She was covered in his blood – her pink suit completely soaked as she desperately tried to comfort him. It’s just… heartbreaking to imagine.
Lady Bird Johnson recalled the frightening moment in her diary, as reported by PBS: “We stopped suddenly – we were still in the third car – and Secret Service agents quickly started moving us to safety, pulling, leading, and rushing us out.”
I glanced back one last time and saw a splash of pink in the back of the president’s car—it was Mrs. Kennedy, draped over the body of her husband.
At Parkland Hospital, Jackie was given fresh clothes, but she declined to change, only wanting to wash her face.
A moment later, Jackie realized she regretted washing the blood from her face. As she later explained to Life magazine, she wished she’d left it there as a visible sign of what had happened.

This isn’t the first time Fox has stirred up headlines with her wild wardrobe choices.
Whether it’s a dress made of condoms or lingerie constructed from fallen leaves gathered in New York City, this star is known for pushing boundaries and challenging expectations in the fashion world.
As she once declared on TikTok, ‘Anything can be clothes.’
When people have suggested she should be less bold, singer Lizzo told The Cut that she’s always preferred to take risks and be herself.
‘F*** that narrative if I want to pop out and wear crazy s*** — which is what I want to wear.’
