Kim Kardashian is facing a lot of criticism online after stating she thinks the 1969 moon landing was a hoax.
The 45-year-old reality star faced criticism after claiming she doubts the 1969 Apollo 11 mission, featuring 95-year-old Buzz Aldrin and the late Neil Armstrong, ever took place. Many called her statement a ‘controversial view of history.’
As a long-time follower, I was really surprised to see someone with such a platform question an event that’s been so thoroughly recorded and proven. It just seemed unbelievable to me that they’d publicly doubt something with so much historical backing.
Someone else dismissed the statement as especially shocking, considering it came from a well-educated woman who had just completed a six-year law program in May 2025.
‘If you think the moon landing was faked, you’re a f**king idiot,’ a third fired.
Some people criticized her, saying she sounded like her former husband, Kanye West, who is known for sharing conspiracy theories that have been proven false or lack evidence.

Apollo 11, conducted by NASA, was the first spaceflight to land humans on the Moon.
Despite being watched by millions on TV, the moon landing has faced skepticism from many people over the years, and there are several reasons why.
Kim Kardashian shared her opinion on the 1969 moon landing during a recent episode of her show, The Kardashians. She was talking with her All’s Fair co-star, Sarah Paulson, while on set.
She told Paulson she was currently sending him a million articles mentioning Buzz Aldrin and another astronaut, to which he simply replied, “Yes, do it.”
Kardashian recounted a conversation where someone asked Aldrin about his scariest moment in space. He responded that there wasn’t one, explaining that while something frightening could have happened, it didn’t.
The mother of four explained that Aldrin is getting older and sometimes says things without thinking, then concluded, ‘I don’t believe it happened.’
Okay, so I heard from a friend that Paulson was totally getting into all the stuff Kim sent her! Apparently, Kim’s always sending her these wild conspiracy theories – seriously, all the time – and Paulson was saying she was about to do a huge investigation into everything. It’s amazing! I knew Kim was onto something big, and now someone else is seeing it too! I’m obsessed with finding out what they’re digging into!
Later in the show, a producer went to Kim’s dressing room and asked her if she really thought the moon landing was faked.
Kardashian firmly believes the moon landing was staged. ‘I don’t think it was real,’ she said, adding that she’s seen videos of Buzz Aldrin expressing the same doubts. ‘He talks about it constantly in interviews now.’

Kardashian explained her belief in the conspiracy theory by questioning why Buzz Aldrin has stated the moon landing didn’t actually occur.
People often wonder about some strange things seen in photos and videos from the moon landing. For example, if there’s no gravity on the moon, why does the flag appear to wave? Also, the footprints left by the astronauts’ boots in the museum don’t quite match those seen in the photos, and surprisingly, there aren’t any stars visible in the sky.
You know, I often get asked how I handle being labeled ‘crazy’ by others. It’s tough, of course, but I’ve learned to focus on my own truth and not let those kinds of judgments define me. It’s about knowing who you are and staying strong in that, regardless of what anyone else says.
Kardashian acknowledged that people are going to say she’s ‘crazy no matter what.’
‘But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself,’ she urged viewers.

As someone who’s followed space exploration for years, let me tell you, Buzz Aldrin – now 95 – has always stood by the 1969 moon landing. He’s dedicated decades to protecting its history and hasn’t hesitated to call out anyone who claims it was faked. It’s truly inspiring to see his unwavering commitment!
At age 72, he famously struck a man who claimed the moon landing was a hoax. This happened in Beverly Hills after the man repeatedly called him names – including coward, liar, and thief – and demanded he swear on the Bible that he’d actually walked on the moon.
Police declined to press charges.
He’s frequently discussed the difficulties of the mission, the thorough science that supported it, and the emotional impact it had on the astronauts and everyone who worked on it.
