Billie Eilish publicly challenged wealthy individuals to be more charitable, speaking to a crowd that included billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg and George Lucas. She then had her picture taken with Hailey Bieber.
The 23-year-old Grammy-winning artist accepted the Music Innovator Award at the WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards and used her acceptance speech to challenge wealthy people to be more generous and use their resources for good.
At an event at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan on Wednesday, the creator of “Birds of a Feather” stated that we’re living in a difficult and troubling time, and people need compassion and support now more than ever, particularly in the United States.
I appreciate everyone, but it feels strange seeing some people here with so much wealth. If you’ve become a billionaire, maybe consider donating some of that money – no hard feelings, just a thought!
She then spoke directly to the billionaires in the audience, including Zuckerberg, Lucas, and Bieber.
Eilish said: ‘Love you all, but there’s a few people in here that have a lot more money than me.

Seriously though, if you have that much wealth, what are you waiting for? No offense, but it’s time to share it with others.
Those in the crowd reportedly reacted to the comment with laughter and applause.
According to People magazine, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, currently the third wealthiest person globally with a fortune of $257 billion, didn’t join the applause following Billie Eilish’s remark.
Taylor Swift is backing up her words with action. During an event, host Stephen Colbert revealed that her recent ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour’ has generated over $11.5 million in donations.
The money raised will support her Changemaker Program, a charity that helps organizations worldwide working to fight hunger and climate change.
Speaking from the stage, Colbert announced he had some exciting news to share, and thanked Billie for letting him be the one to reveal it, calling the situation remarkable.
Billie Eilish is donating $11.5 million from her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour to groups working on food security, climate justice, and reducing pollution. It’s a fantastic contribution, and on behalf of everyone, we thank her.
Billie Eilish didn’t appear bothered by Justin Bieber, 28, and the two happily posed for photos together at the event.

Last May, Hailey sold her skincare and cosmetics business to e.l.f Cosmetics for one billion dollars. She’ll continue working with the company as its chief creative officer and lead of innovation.
The singer was smartly dressed in a navy blue jacket and skirt set, worn over a grey sweater and a colorful blouse.
She completed her look with a vintage touch: black sock garters that held up her dark grey socks, paired with dark brown shoes featuring double buckles.
She had long, dark hair parted down the middle, and her pale skin was complemented by soft pink lipstick and blush on her cheeks.

Hailey wore a short, black leather dress with black pantyhose and white leather heels.
She wore her brown hair in a ponytail and looked beautiful with makeup, including glossy lipstick.
At the event, Bieber was awarded WSJ. Magazine’s Beauty Innovator of 2025.
After the gala concluded, the award winners—including Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson, along with Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Dr. Priscilla Chan, Mark Zuckerberg’s wife—came together for a group picture.
