JoJo Siwa playfully coaxed her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, into dancing with her in the rain while they were on vacation in the Bahamas on Wednesday.
The musician, 22, known for his song ‘Karma’, and the 32-year-old star of ‘Love Island’ recently had their first official vacation together. They stayed at the luxurious Sandals Royal Bahamian resort, even though Hurricane Melissa was approaching the area.
JoJo, who found love with Chris on the reality show Big Brother UK earlier this year, shared a sweet moment from their vacation on Instagram. The video showed her playfully trying to get Chris to dance with her in the rain.
The reality star said he didn’t want to go outside during the rain because he didn’t want to get completely soaked.
Chris said he wasn’t going out in the rain, explaining they’d get completely soaked. He jokingly but firmly told the other person, ‘I love you, but no way am I going in that rain!’
Shortly after, another video appeared showing the couple playfully walking back to their hotel in the rain, with Chris spinning JoJo around.

The Dance Moms star wrote: ‘After having to walk in the rain, here’s how it ended’.
As the storm briefly calmed, JoJo and her partner shared a tender moment, looking into each other’s eyes. JoJo happily exclaimed that she was having the best time with her loved one and didn’t need anything more in life.
They seemed cheerful, with her wearing a loose-fitting grey T-shirt, a black mini skirt, and sneakers. He wore a white T-shirt, denim shorts, and white sandals.
Chris and JoJo continued sharing their vacation with fans, posting about a delicious pasta dinner they had before returning to their spacious hotel suite.
Fans were surprised by the romantic connection between JoJo and Chris, which developed while they were on a reality TV show. During the show, JoJo shared that she’s moved away from identifying as a lesbian and now feels the term ‘queer’ better describes her.
Hurricane Melissa is forecast to bring strong winds, heavy rainfall, and potential flash flooding to the Bahamas and Bermuda as it moves across the Caribbean.
Early Wednesday, Hurricane Melissa hit eastern Cuba near Chivirico as a Category 3 storm. It had previously swept across Jamaica as one of the most powerful Atlantic hurricanes ever recorded.
The National Hurricane Center reports that the hurricane, with winds reaching 115 mph at its second landfall, is now forecast to move toward the northeast.

As a lifestyle expert focused on safety, I’m letting you know that Tropical Storm Melissa is expected to intensify into a strong Category 2 hurricane and impact the central or southeastern Bahamas on Wednesday. This means we’re looking at potentially dangerous conditions – significant flooding from storm surge and very strong winds. If you’re in the area, it’s crucial to prepare now and stay informed.
The Bahamas may receive as much as 10 inches of rain, and experts are concerned this could lead to dangerous flash floods and landslides.
Melissa is forecast to keep moving northeast and strengthen over the Atlantic. It’s expected to hit Bermuda as a Category 1 hurricane on Thursday.
Authorities are predicting a very long recovery period – potentially days or even weeks – for the areas most affected by this historic storm.
Hurricane Melissa is being held responsible for seven fatalities across the Caribbean. This includes three deaths in Jamaica, three in Haiti, and one in the Dominican Republic, where one person is still unaccounted for.
This follows JoJo excitedly calling Chris’ parents her ‘future in-laws’ after his whole family came to her concert in Birmingham.
JoJo told the crowd she had some ‘guests of honor’ in attendance for the show.
Chris surprised JoJo with flowers backstage at the show, and he watched the performance with his family – his parents, Val and Paul, and his brother Ben – alongside JoJo’s parents, Tom and Jessalynn.
The show then cut to JoJo acknowledging Chris’ parents were in the audience, playfully saying she’d make sure to be on her best behavior.
She asked Val to wave, saying, ‘Can we get a good wave from up there?’ She then explained that Val is the mother of her son, who she loves very much and brings her a lot of joy.

‘I’m very delighted to have the guests of honor tonight, Val and Paul Hughes everyone.’
JoJo promised a great performance and said she was on her best behavior, but the audience immediately responded with loud boos.
JoJo quickly responded, saying she needed to be on her best behavior because her future in-laws were present. She explained she couldn’t get too wild that night.
Before the concert, Chris unexpectedly gave JoJo flowers backstage. He explained he’d decided to attend the show on a whim, as he wouldn’t be seeing her for some time.
This follows JoJo’s confirmation that she isn’t straight, after she addressed questions about her sexuality. She explained that being in a relationship with her boyfriend, Chris, doesn’t change the fact that she’s previously dated women.
Okay, so I’ve been following her for ages, and it’s been amazing to watch her journey! She’s always been so open about who she is – she first came out as pansexual and had a few really sweet relationships with women. Then, things got really interesting when she met Chris on Celebrity Big Brother! It feels like that connection really changed things for her, and now she just says she’s queer, which honestly, I love! It’s just… so authentically her, you know?
JoJo shared that despite her relationship now being very strong, she received a lot of negativity from the LGBTQ+ community after she started dating someone of the opposite sex.
During an interview on Sirius XM’s Smith Sisters Live, she revealed that people close to her aren’t aware of the significant amount of negativity she’s faced from within her own community.

Being in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex doesn’t define my sexual orientation. And even if I were to identify as straight, that wouldn’t change my support for the LGBTQ+ community – I’d still be an ally.
JoJo explained that she is attracted to men and is currently in a relationship with one. However, she also emphasized that her previous relationships and experiences shouldn’t be dismissed or invalidated because of her current preferences.
I remember falling in love for the very first time with a woman, who also happened to be my closest friend. We shared something truly special. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to have wonderful relationships with women and someone who identifies as non-binary, and now I’m happily with a man. It’s been a beautiful journey of love in many forms.
She described her love for him as unlike anything she’d ever known, saying he made her feel truly special. She believes they were meant to be together and that falling in love with him is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to her.
The singer also shared that Chris has consistently supported her and her identity, remembering how he quickly stood up for her during her time on Celebrity Big Brother when Mickey Rourke made offensive homophobic remarks.
