My day at the gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025: Fun of games and creativity of cosplays

Story Highlights

  • Still buzzing from the GamingonPhone Awards night, I jumped straight into day 3 of the Gamescom Asia x TGS.
  • Walked in and was mesmerized by booths everywhere, people enjoying, the atmosphere was electric.
  • Cosplay madness was hands down my favorite part with so many amazing cosplayers just owning their characters.

gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 was a huge success, concluding on October 19th, 2025, after four days. The event attracted a record number of visitors and had a significant positive impact on business. I was there on the third day, enjoying the public side of the show.

I didn’t get to be there the whole time, but even just the day I experienced, and from what I saw of the showcases, it was clear this event was a total blast! I’m excited to share all about it – it was genuinely a lot of fun.

I was still thrilled from the amazing GamingonPhone Awards 2025 Grand Finale in Bangkok. What better way to keep the good times rolling than to immediately jump into another exciting event in the city?

By evening, I had everything prepared for the event – my press pass was in hand, and I was feeling surprisingly good after the recent celebrations. I drove to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center with my friends, and as security showed me inside, I could immediately feel the excitement and energy building.

Exploring Booths, Games, and taking in a whole lot of energy

I walked into the event, and even though it was noisy, I immediately felt excited and knew I was going to have a great time. There were many booths and activities to check out, and as I went further inside, I saw people enjoying themselves, playing games, and trying things out.

I was really excited to see the eFootball booth immediately to my left. As a huge fan, I had to take a look! I watched people playing and briefly thought I could compete with them – though that was probably just wishful thinking. I also managed to collect some free cards, and maybe “borrowed” a few from my friends while I was at it.

I went with the flow and ended up at the CAPCOM booth, which had a huge stage. They were showing Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection on a large screen, and I was immediately captivated by the visuals for quite some time before continuing to explore.

I checked out the Mechabreak merchandise and also got a look at what Nintendo Switch has coming up. They highlighted games like Super Mario Party Jamboree, Kirby and the Forgotten Island, and Donkey Kong Bananza, among others. The Japan-focused section was great, and I especially enjoyed watching people play Mecha BREAK on the large screen.

I also got to see demos of Pokémon Legends, Jujutsu Kaisen, and some Sonic Racing. It was fun watching my friend try the punch machine and win some prizes! I really wanted to check out the Island of Hearts area before I left, but unfortunately, matchmaking wasn’t available for me. It seems romance wasn’t on the cards for me at the show.

The art of cosplaying and a satisfying ending

Honestly, one of the coolest things about the event was seeing how incredibly talented everyone was! The cosplayers were a real highlight – they totally became their characters, it was amazing. I’m so glad I went on the day of the competition, it made the whole experience even better.

The event was full of amazing costumes! I saw characters from so many different universes – Naruto, Transformers, Jujutsu Kaisen, Marvel, DC, and tons more. I took pictures with a lot of them, but unfortunately, my friends weren’t the best photographers. If blurry pictures were considered good, I’d have a ton to share!

Cosplayers really deserve a big thank you. They happily posed for every picture, smiled at everyone, and kept their energy up even in the heat and humidity. Their costumes sometimes looked difficult to manage, but they wore them with the same enthusiasm we felt watching them!

While Day 3 of Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 wasn’t quite as packed or wild as the last day, it still captured the excitement that makes gaming events so enjoyable. I had a great time exploring and wished I had even more time to spend there.

The event was a blast – filled with fun, costumes, and a shared passion for gaming. It really highlighted why these gatherings are so enjoyable. I definitely plan on returning, and I’m hoping to attend more of the public days next time. I’ll either need to find some better photographers or just stick to taking selfies, though!
