Michael Douglas, 81, beams as he poses with his glamorous daughter Carys, 22, at the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala

Michael Douglas looked delighted to be with his daughter Carys at the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala on Tuesday.

The 81-year-old actor and his 22-year-old daughter, Carys, looked happy and relaxed while taking photos at the glamorous event held at the Perelman Performing Arts Center.

Oh my gosh, Michael looked absolutely incredible! He was wearing this amazing black suit, so sharp and fitted, with a crisp white shirt and this gorgeous purple tie. I swear, he just gets more and more handsome every time I see him! It was the perfect outfit, seriously perfect.

Meanwhile, Carys turned heads in a strappy black midi dress adorned with beaded jewels.

She made her already slim figure appear taller with black pointed heels and finished the look with ruby red earrings.

Her mum, Catherine Zeta-Jones, 56, was absent from the event due to work, according to PEOPLE.

The event was in celebration of designer Diane von Furstenberg.

It was the second year that the Perelman Performing Arts Center held an Icons of Culture Gala.

Seth Meyers, Tiffany Haddish, Chanel Iman, Karlie Kloss, and Jennifer Nettles were also present at the event.

This public appearance follows a recent photo of Carys that highlighted her striking resemblance to her mother, showcasing her natural beauty.

The actress looked just like Catherine Zeta-Jones during her popular “Darling Buds of May” days in a recent beachside selfie.

Catherine became well-known for playing Mariette, the oldest daughter in the Larkin family, in the popular 1990s TV series, and this role launched her successful acting career.

Carys took a selfie while on vacation, wearing a brown bikini.

She posted a photo of her cozy cabin from her trip and showed off the book she was reading: The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran.

In 2023, Carys captivated her audience with videos demonstrating her musical skills.

She’s impressed audiences with both her incredible voice and her skillful piano playing.

Her mother, Catherine, has often enthusiastically praised her performances, describing them as both beautiful and amazing.

Carys appears to be starting a career in entertainment, much like her well-known parents.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! I was scrolling through her videos and there she was, on stage with The Honky Tonks! They’re the house band at this amazing bar in Reykjavik, Iceland called Hus Mals og Menningar – seriously, I’ve been following them too! Seeing Carys up there with them? It made my whole week!

Oh my gosh, you would NOT believe it! At the end of the show, one of them – one of the ACTUAL BAND MEMBERS – totally dropped to his knees right in front of Carys! He grabbed her shoulder like she was some kind of goddess, just…worshipping her after the performance. It was EVERYTHING.

Catherine shared a video clip on Instagram without adding a caption, but commented: ‘Carys!!!!! Amazing! Wish I could be there. Love you. Have fun!’

The band’s singer responded to Catherine, saying, ‘Yes, your daughter was fantastic! I’m Sibbi, the lead singer, and we perform ‘Shallow’ nightly, often with different guest vocalists.’

Carys is exceptionally talented – truly one of the best performers we’ve ever seen. I was so impressed, I practically pleaded to be able to see her again the next night.

Carys has showcased her singing before, having previously posted a video of herself covering Bonnie Raitt’s ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’.

She also played the piano for the performance which appears to have been recorded at home.

Catherine recently shared that both her daughter Carys and son Dylan are set on pursuing careers in acting.

Catherine explained that their children are incredibly passionate about acting. Even when they’re focused on school subjects like politics and history, their love for performing always shines through.

‘And they’ve never done anything professional, but they would like to go into acting.’

Carys Douglas has been cautioned by her father, Michael Douglas—whose own father was Kirk Douglas—that a career in Hollywood will likely mean she’s always known as ‘someone’s daughter.’

The mother of two explained that she feels she has to work even harder to earn her children’s respect, but despite that, they still want to pursue their own paths.
