- The relaunch will completely rebuild the game, updating growth, currency, gacha, UX, and content cycle.
- Refunds are available from tomorrow until November 27, with requests processed within six months.
Blackstorm is completely revamping its 3D turn-based JRPG, Rememento: White Shadow. The global version of the game will go offline on November 27th, while the Japanese version will stop service on January 31, 2026. Rememento launched worldwide this May, following its initial release in South Korea last year.
Global version is suspending services this November, with the Japan version following in January
You may know Rememento: White Shadow – it’s a strategy RPG where you battle in turns. It’s easy to pick up, with a simple way to manage your characters’ abilities and quick, exciting fights. You create a team of four anime-inspired characters and can switch between them during combat to use powerful special attacks.
Hello Wardens,
This is Kim Do-yoon, CEO of BLACKSTORM. I’m writing to share some important news and a personal request.
We are preparing to relaunch ‘Rement – White Shadow’ in December 2024. My team and I at BLACKSTORM…

The game will no longer be available worldwide starting November 27th, and the Japanese version will follow in January. The developers explained that this is to allow them to improve the game and eventually release a version that players will truly enjoy.
Players can play until the temporary suspension and also request refunds
Blackstorm CEO Doyun Kim announced the company is taking a step back to address the game’s core issues and work more closely with its partners. Their goal is a significant improvement to the game overall. The team recognized that simply adding more content wouldn’t fix the deeper problems, and they’re committed to a more thorough fix instead of just quick patches. It’s great to see the developers willing to do a complete overhaul.
The game is being completely rebuilt, with improvements to how it grows, its in-game economy, the way you collect characters (the gacha system), the user experience, and how often new content is released. Until November 27th, you can still play, but you won’t be able to buy anything within the game, and no new updates will be added. However, Chesha and the Cael Pickup Recall will be available during this time.
We’re not shutting down, but preparing for a fresh start, and we’re offering refunds starting tomorrow until November 27th. You should receive your refund within 6 months. Please note that only unused Glowing Memory currency purchased between December 18, 2024, and today will be refunded.
