Would Millie Bobby Brown Want Her Child Becoming An Actor In Hollywood? What She Said Before She And Jake Bongiovi Welcomed Their Little One

Millie Bobby Brown’s career really took off with Stranger Things, making her one of the most well-known young actors working today. Now that she and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have adopted a child, she’s been thinking about whether her little one might want to become an actor too.

While talking with Pedestrian TV, Brown shared an insight — ahead of adopting her baby girl — into how she’d react if one of her future kids wanted to explore acting. Based on the Instagram clip, Brown would take a cerebral approach to the situation and take a cue from her own parents:

I’d parent my children the same way my parents parented me: by encouraging them to be true to themselves. If they wanted to pursue something, I’d support them, while also making sure they’re safe and protected, just like my parents did for me.

It’s wonderful to see a family in the entertainment industry that’s so supportive and deliberate in their choices. It appears MBB would be happy for any of her children to pursue a career in show business if that’s what they want. Given Brown’s expressed desire to become a young mother, it’s no surprise she responded so thoughtfully. No matter what path their child chooses, it sounds like they’ll grow up with plenty of love and encouragement.

It’s remarkable how thoughtful Millie Bobby Brown is, especially considering she grew up in the public eye and quickly became famous as the star of a hit Netflix show. Her deliberate way of speaking clearly shows the strong guidance she’s received from her parents throughout her career, and that’s not the only thing she’s focused on. The Damsel star also talked about supporting her child’s dreams, whatever they may be, beyond just a career in entertainment.

I always encourage young people to pursue their dreams, and I’m happy to help them in any way I can.

People who’ve watched Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in Stranger Things – many through Netflix – likely feel a connection to her, even though they don’t personally know her. This is probably due to both her acting and how open she is about her life. I, for one, appreciate that honesty – it makes me admire her even more. She’s a fantastic role model for young people, regardless of whether they’re connected to her work, and I fully support her openness.

Although this interview happened before Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi had their child, it’s probably safe to assume her feelings haven’t changed. I’m really happy for their growing family, and I wonder if their child will follow in their parents’ footsteps and become an actor – or maybe even a musician, considering Jon Bon Jovi is their grandfather.

Viewers will be able to watch Millie Bobby Brown in the first part of Stranger Things Season 5 when it premieres on November 26, 2025, as part of Netflix’s upcoming schedule.
