Leigh-Anne Pinnock admits she sees husband Andre Gray just THREE days a month as she reveals their ‘s**t’ long-distance marriage struggles while he plays in Turkey

Leigh-Anne Pinnock has been honest about the difficulties she and her husband, Andre Gray, have faced in their marriage.

Former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, 34, appeared on the “Rosie & Chris Ramsey” podcast this Monday. She opened up about the challenges of family life with her husband, Andre, also 34, and their four-year-old twin daughters.

Oh, it just breaks my heart knowing Andre’s over in Turkey playing for Fatih Karagümrük! It means he’s away from his family back home in the UK for such long stretches, and I just can’t imagine how tough that must be for him and them. I’m a huge fan, so I’m always thinking about him, but I worry about him being so far from his loved ones!

Leigh-Anne described the challenges of her long-distance relationship, explaining that she and her husband only manage to see each other for about three days a month, which she finds very difficult.

I just found out he’s been living in Turkey! Can you believe it? Apparently, he’s been there for three years now, and his twins just turned four! I’ve been following his life so closely, and it’s amazing to see how happy he seems. Three years… it feels like I’ve been on this journey with him the whole time!

Host Rosie then remarked: ‘That’s hard, that must be hard for him as well though?’

Leigh-Anne replied: ‘So hard. He’s struggling a little bit to be fair.’

The singer and Andre became husband and wife in June 2023, after becoming parents to their twins in August 2021.

However, their relationship hasn’t always been plain sailing. 

In a June 2024 TikTok video, Leigh-Anne shared that her husband, Andre, had hurt her feelings early in their relationship.

Oh my gosh, you guys, in this new video, she totally hinted that their relationship wasn’t always easy! She was talking about how he really had to change himself, become a better person, just to be with her. It’s so sweet and honestly, it just proves how much he loves her, right? I’m seriously obsessed with their story!

Leigh-Anne shared that she discovered the importance of forgiveness because the footballer made a real effort to improve himself for her.

Leigh-Anne revealed that, surprisingly, she’s still in a relationship with the person who caused her recent heartbreak when asked what she’d learned from the experience.

She realized how important forgiveness can be. Despite the pain he caused, she’s still with the person who hurt her, and he’s made a real effort to become a better partner.

If you can overcome a challenge and reach the finish line, it makes everything you went through worth it.

People often ask me why I stay with someone or give them another chance. It might seem like I’m not prioritizing my own needs, or that it’s a sign of weakness, but ultimately, I believe only I can decide what’s best for me.

Leigh-Anne explained that they overcame a difficult period and are now in a very happy and positive place in their relationship.

She explained that while you can’t make someone change, their genuine effort to improve themselves is a clear sign of their character and intentions. Seeing someone actively work on themselves is really all you need to understand them.

I needed to experience those challenges in our relationship to reach the wonderful place we’re at now.

The singer of “Don’t Say Love” also mentioned that forgiving someone is perfectly acceptable, and it shouldn’t be seen as a sign of weakness. In fact, she believes it can be a positive and restorative process.

Leigh-Anne believes it’s fine to forgive someone, but you shouldn’t allow anyone to take advantage of you.

‘Make sure you have those barriers up to protect yourself and to know when enough is enough.

Experiencing pain helps us develop resilience and avoid repeating past mistakes. Forgiveness isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s actually a strong and restorative process.

It comes after Leigh-Anne opened up about her rocky relationship with Andre in 2023. 

She shared that he was still maturing emotionally when they first started dating, and she vaguely talked about how people cope with infidelity.

She shared with Glamour Magazine that many people believe a betrayal automatically ends a relationship, and that’s understandable. However, she decided to try and repair hers, and she’s very glad she did.

Leigh-Anne explained that some of the challenges they faced early on were due to harmful traditional ideas about masculinity prevalent in the world of football, alluding to problems they’d experienced in the past.

She continued, explaining that she believed his upbringing and the expectations placed on him played a significant role. She admitted this resonated with her own experiences, but she was also proud of how much he had developed and how far they’d both come.

She explained that when you truly value something, you’re willing to work hard for it. While things might not always succeed, achieving what you want feels incredible when they do.
