Sources say Robert Irwin is dating an American dancer from Dancing With The Stars US, following his breakup with Rorie Buckey nearly two years ago.

Twenty-one-year-old environmental advocate and current contestant on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ is reportedly dating 19-year-old professional dancer Hailey Bills. They are partnered with Witney Carson on the show.

Deux Moi, a popular Instagram account that shares celebrity gossip, posted an email on Tuesday revealing a new romance involving Robert.

The popular bachelor from Dancing with the Stars has temporarily put his search for love on hold to enjoy some fun outside of the competition, according to an email.

I’ve been hearing things, and it seems like he’s getting really close to a particular brunette. Apparently, people have seen them together a lot, especially on set. What’s really interesting is that she’s the only person from the whole crew he follows on Instagram – it definitely seems like there’s something going on!

The individual recently identified is Hailey Bills, an American dancer who has been practicing since 2012. She’s skilled in a variety of styles, including ballroom, ballet, and hip hop.

I’ve been following Robert and Hailey for a while now, and while they haven’t said anything directly about whether they’re dating, Robert definitely dropped a hint yesterday! He posted a video online of them doing a really fun, energetic dance together in the street. It was pretty clear they were having a blast, and honestly, it felt like a sweet confirmation to me!

Robert beamed as he started dancing with Hailey, and it was clear they had a natural connection, both as partners and as people.

‘Honorary troupe member,’ Robert wrote next to the clip. 

Last November, Robert shared that he’s still hoping to find a partner, following his breakup with Rorie Buckley in February 2024.

He appeared on Nine’s Today show and confessed there was ‘no one special’ in his life at that time.

During a television segment where he was playfully called one of Australia’s most desirable single men, Robert shyly admitted that he finds dating difficult.

He noted that being in the public eye presents unique challenges and complexities.

Robert said he wasn’t currently dating anyone. When asked what qualities he wanted in a partner, he shared his preferences.

‘I’m one of those people who is kind of gonna let it happen, I’m gonna let that unfold as it will.

I find my parents incredibly inspiring, and I see my sister, Bindi Irwin – who recently got married to Chandler – as a role model too.

He explained that he’s looking for someone who truly understands and embraces his adventurous and fast-paced life. He wants a partner to share all of his experiences with and enjoy this exciting life together.

I’ve been following Robert and Rorie’s relationship for a while now, and it was so sweet to see them finally confirm things! They reportedly started dating back in November 2022, but they didn’t make it official on Instagram until August 2023 – it felt like a long wait for fans like me!

Before becoming a couple, Rorie finished a special training program – a ‘wildlife warrior boot camp’ – that was approved by Robert’s father, Irwin.

According to a December 2023 report in Woman’s Day, Rorie needed to impress her partner’s family by showing she enjoyed outdoor activities.

During a research trip focused on crocodiles, the couple discovered important information that will greatly benefit the Wildlife Warriors Worldwide foundation.

Robert’s mother, Terri, and his sister Bindi, 26, were proud of how committed Robert was to helping Australian wildlife. Terri shared her children with her late husband, Steve.

Robert and Rorie were in a long-distance relationship because Robert works at Australia Zoo in Queensland, and Rorie lives in Perth.
