Meghan Markle Just Lost Yet Another Publicist After With Love, Meghan

Meghan Markle‘s Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, generated a lot of buzz earlier this year, with moments like a slightly awkward conversation with Mindy Kaling and a surprisingly popular one-pot pasta recipe capturing public attention. Now, as the future of the series is uncertain following her and Prince Harry’s new agreement with Netflix, Meghan has also lost her tenth publicist since she and Harry stepped down from their royal roles in 2020.

Emily Robinson started working as Meghan Markle’s communications director in June, having previously handled publicity for Netflix. However, it was announced last week that she was already departing from the role, according to a statement given to US Weekly.

Ms. Robinson successfully managed projects for the hit show With Love, Meghan and provided valuable support to the production company. Her work was consistently excellent and achieved great results.

This change follows recent adjustments to their communications team and a history of frequent staff turnover. It was previously reported in July that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dismissed their entire communications staff as part of cost-cutting measures.

It’s unknown whether Emily Robinson leaving her role has anything to do with the future of Meghan Markle’s show, With Love, Meghan. Meghan hasn’t said much about whether the lifestyle series, which had two seasons on Netflix (one in March and one in August), will continue. When asked about a possible Season 3 at a recent Forbes event, she remained vague.

After a year of experience with this new approach, we’ve realized that eight episodes across two seasons is a significant undertaking. Having worked on ‘Suits’ for seven years, I understand the effort involved in production, and I know audiences enjoy content in various lengths. Because of this, we’re considering all possible ways to structure the show.

It’s been a period of change for the Sussexes’ team. I’ve noticed another staff member has left recently, following the departures of several others this summer – including Kyle Boulia and Charlie Gipson, who were based in LA and the UK respectively. It seems like they’re really restructuring their private team.

Several key members of the Archewell team have left the organization, including Deesha Tank, the director of communications, and Lianne Cashin, the head of operations. Meghan Markle’s social media manager and a personal assistant also departed.

Ashley Hansen left her position as global press secretary and head of communications last year to start her own company, according to People magazine. While Hansen moved on, two of the duchess’ former publicists, James Holt and Miranda Bardot, were promoted within the organization but shifted into roles outside of public relations.

Numerous reports, articles, and even a book have discussed how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle treated their staff. Journalist Valentine Low claims to have interviewed former employees who allege they were bullied. Low notes these sources were deeply upset, even years after leaving their jobs, and reportedly feared Meghan Markle’s potential for retaliation.

The Duchess’s representatives have strongly denied the claims made by Valentine Low, accusing him of repeatedly using untrue and damaging accusations to boost book sales and regain public attention.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have experienced significant changes since moving to the US, and it remains to be seen what their future holds. You can still watch both seasons of With Love, Meghan, as well as other shows featuring the couple, on Netflix.
