With the Pokémon Trading Card Game now entering its new era focused on Mega Evolution, it’s a great time to revisit the cards released during the recent Scarlet & Violet series. Starting with the first Scarlet & Violet set in 2022, a total of 18 sets were published, and each one contained many cards that collectors will enjoy.
While collectors are now focused on valuable cards from the Mega Evolutions sets, the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet series still contains many cards worth a significant amount of money – some hundreds, even thousands, of dollars. The prices listed here are based on average market values from TCGPlayer, and these values are constantly changing, so consider them estimates. However, this gives a good overview of the current market.
Charizard ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Card 234/091 From Scarlet & Violet: Paldean Fates

Man, this Charizard ex from the Paldean Fates set is a wild ride! Its price has been all over the place, bouncing between $175 and $375. Even with those ups and downs, it’s still one of the most valuable cards in the whole set. Right now, card number 234/091 is going for around $300.65 on TCGPlayer, which is pretty crazy!
It’s surprising how much the price of this card varies, especially since the Paldean Fates set came out in January 2024 – it’s not a recent release. Still, it’s a stunning card, featuring a dark, shiny version of Charizard in its Terastallized form.
Pikachu ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Card 238/191 From Scarlet & Violet: Surging Sparks

This Pikachu ex card, a very rare find from the Surging Sparks set, quickly became the most valuable card in the set, selling for over $500 within days of its release. However, its popularity and price have decreased over the past year. Despite this, the Terastallized version of Pikachu ex remains a stunning and desirable card for any collector.
The Tera Pikachu card, known for its jeweled crown design, is currently selling for around $351.09 on TCGPlayer. While some predicted it would be worth much more – even thousands of dollars – that’s still a significant price.
Sylveon ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Card 156/131 From Scarlet & Violet: Prismatic Evolutions

I was really excited when I first saw Sylveon ex – it’s such a cool Pokémon and its Terastallized form in the Pokémon TCG: Prismatic Evolutions set looked amazing! The whole set was built around Eevee and all its evolutions, and they promised more chances to pull the rare cards. But honestly, since it came out in January 2025, Sylveon ex’s price has dropped a lot, which is a bit of a bummer.
This card is still quite valuable – it currently sells for around $359.80 on average, according to TCGPlayer. However, it’s worth noting that the card initially cost around $750 when it first came out, so its price has decreased. Whether or not it will increase in value over time remains to be seen, but this gorgeous Sylveon ex card is a great addition to any collection.
Magikarp (Illustration Rare)
Card 203/193 From Scarlet & Violet: Paldea Evolved

This Magikarp Illustration Rare card features similar artistic details, but it’s different from many other cards on this list because it doesn’t have Tera-type characteristics. The artwork is very detailed and visually appealing, making it a pleasure to look at.
Magikarp isn’t known as a powerful Pokémon in battles, but this particular card is quite special. Released as part of the Paldea Evolved set in June 2023, this shiny, holographic card is currently valued at $370.20 USD on the TCGPlayer marketplace.
Greninja ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Card 214/167 From Scarlet & Violet Twilight Masquerade

Since its release in May 2024 with the Pokémon TCG: Twilight Masquerade set, Greninja ex has remained a valuable card. Its price on TCGPlayer is currently $370.58, which is just 30 cents lower than when we last reported on the set’s most valuable cards. While the price has shifted slightly, it’s generally stayed consistent, showing relatively low price volatility.
The Greninja ex card (214/167) is visually striking, bursting with vibrant colors around the Fighting-type Pokémon. It’s a beautiful card, almost like a small painting, and it’s also a powerful addition to any deck.
Zekrom ex (Black White Rare)
Card 172/086 From Scarlet & Violet: Black Bolt

The Pokémon TCG’s Black Bolt series introduced some strikingly dark cards, including this shadowy Zekrom ex. The card is particularly memorable for its artwork, which is almost entirely black with detailed shades of gray and white. It’s also one of the rare cards designated as a “BWR” – Black White Rare – meaning it’s a monochromatic card with a unique textured finish.
The Zekrom ex card (number 172/086) is selling for around $457.52 on TCGPlayer. Since the card set came out in July 2025, its price has fluctuated, but it’s been relatively stable recently.
Victini (Black White Rare)
Card 171/086 From Scarlet & Violet: Black Bolt And White Flare

This Victini card is a rare and highly sought-after collectible, marked with the Black White Rare designation. Its mostly red color scheme is particularly eye-catching—even more so than the black Zekrom ex or white Reshiram ex. The vibrant red gives the card a unique and almost unsettling look, making Victini seem to leap off the surface.
Currently, this all-red Victini card is selling for around $502 on TCGPlayer, though some have recently sold for about $600.
Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Card 231/182 From Scarlet & Violet: Destined Rivals

The new Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet Destined Rivals expansion focuses on Team Rocket, and includes several powerful cards featuring the team and their Pokémon. The most sought-after card is Giovanni’s featuring his strong Mewtwo ex. Since the set’s release in May 2025, “Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex” has been the most valuable card in the Destined Rivals collection.
As of today, this card is typically worth around $582.32 on TCGPlayer. However, its price can change quickly – recent sales have ranged from as low as $270, so be careful when buying or selling.
Mew ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Card 232/091 From Scarlet & Violet: Paldean Fates

I think the artwork on this Mew ex Special Illustration Rare is one of the happiest looking on the list. It features Mew ex in its shiny, vibrant form—normally, this Mythical Pokémon is a light pink—and looks incredibly peaceful and huggable, even though it’s powerful enough to be a real threat.
The value of this Mew ex card has been consistently rising over the last few months, but it could still go down. Currently, TCGPlayer lists the average price at $623.44.
Umbreon ex (Special Illustration Rare)
Card 161/131 From Scarlet & Violet: Prismatic Evolutions

Collectors of the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet cards have likely been searching for this Special Illustration Rare Umbreon ex from the Prismatic Evolutions set. This evolved form of Eevee looks amazing as a Terastallized Pokémon, and the art around Umbreon ex on the card is truly captivating and mesmerizing.
Interestingly, this card isn’t showing much price fluctuation right now, though that can change quickly. As of today, TCGPlayer lists its market price at an amazing $1,175.95. This makes Umbreon ex the most valuable card in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet series by a significant margin.
