I was completely captivated by IT: Welcome to Derry – not just by its chilling dive into the history of Pennywise and the town of Derry, but also by the amazing acting! Both the new faces and the actors returning to their roles delivered truly incredible performances.
Before the events of the IT films, IT: Welcome to Derry tells the story of what happened in the town of Derry during the 1960s. It adds depth to the Stephen King universe and explains the origins of the terrifying events shown in the original movies. Critics have generally liked the show, giving it a 77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Okay, so as a big horror fan, let me tell you, IT: Welcome to Derry definitely delivers on the scares – seriously, be prepared for a lot of jump-out-of-your-seat moments! But what really grabbed me was how well-developed the characters are. The actors do an amazing job bringing them to life, and I found myself wondering who played each one. It’s not just about being scared; you actually care about these people, which makes the whole thing even more effective.
