Nicole Scherzinger breaks her silence on being branded a ‘diva’ and admits she is ‘devastated and horrified’ after keeping fans waiting an ‘HOUR’ at Royal Albert Hall show

Okay, let’s talk about what happened at my recent show at the Royal Albert Hall. There’s been some talk online about me being called a ‘diva’ because of a delay, and I wanted to address it. Apparently, some fans had to wait about an hour, and I’m so sorry if that happened. I always want to deliver the best possible show, and sometimes things just don’t go as planned. I’m truly disappointed if anyone’s experience was negatively impacted, and I’m clearing the air about it now.

The former Pussycat Doll, 47, expressed her shock and sadness about the incident, but said she didn’t realize the audience had been kept waiting for so long.

Nicole reportedly arrived on stage an hour after her scheduled 7:30pm start time, even though there were no opening acts. She didn’t explain the delay or apologize to the waiting fans, some of whom had paid as much as £150 for tickets.

Okay, so she only sang six songs, can you believe it?! Six! And apparently, a bunch of people were so disappointed they just…left! Like, walked out mid-show and didn’t even bother with the opening act. Honestly, I almost did too, I was so stunned she didn’t play more, but I couldn’t bring myself to leave before it was completely over. It was insane!

In a recent interview, Nicole revealed she didn’t realize how long people had been waiting until after she had finished what she was doing.

I was really upset and shocked. I could understand why they’d be annoyed having to wait so long – they needed to be in their seats around 7:15, but I thought my show wasn’t scheduled to begin until 8:00.

She expressed her gratitude to everyone who stayed, saying they were all dancing with her by the end. She simply wanted to thank people for their support.

Because the show is designed as a more personal ‘Evening With’ experience, artists usually spend more time talking to the audience than they would at a typical concert, which means they play fewer songs.

A frustrated concertgoer told the Daily Mail that the performer arrived over an hour late without offering an apology or explanation. She then performed only four songs before taking a break. The fan and their companions left during the intermission, feeling they had already waited long enough.

Nicole spent more time offstage than on it, and when she was performing, she mostly talked about the awards she’d won – a Tony and an Olivier.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing online after the Royal Albert Hall show! Everyone was posting how awful it was, and honestly, seeing that video clip… it just felt like a disaster. I’m a huge fan, and it broke my heart to see people saying that about Nicole’s performance. It really didn’t live up to the hype, and people weren’t afraid to say so!

One person shared in a video that it was the worst concert they’d ever experienced, and they’ve been to a lot of concerts before.

‘Which is sad because I was so excited.’

They captioned their somber clip: ‘What a waste of time and money so disappointed at her.’

A concertgoer expressed disappointment with Nicole Scherzinger, stating she was disrespectful to the audience who had paid £140 each to attend. They were upset that she didn’t apologize for starting her performance an hour late.

We left the show at 10pm. Unfortunately, she dominated the performance with talking and didn’t sing nearly enough for the audience. It was a shame, as she was fantastic in Sunset Boulevard, but she seems to be becoming quite self-absorbed. We were really disappointed.

Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Nicole and the Royal Albert Hall for comment.

Even though she arrived late, most fans had a great time at the show. One person particularly praised her performance, saying everyone should have stayed until the end because she was amazing. They were so impressed that they didn’t even mind the delay, and weren’t sure if it was even the artist’s fault.

‘It was being recorded so maybe that was the reason. The end was brilliant.’

Someone commented that the performer was a ‘diva’ for being nearly an hour late and not apologizing, forcing some fans to leave early. However, they also acknowledged her incredible talent.

This news follows reports that she received complaints about her conduct from crew members working on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard.

As a longtime Broadway fan, I was so sad to see the show close its curtains this past July. It had a wonderful 10-month run right here in New York City, and I especially loved Nicole in the starring role of Norma Desmond. She truly brought that character to life!

The Daily Mail reported that she scheduled a make-up session with a famous artist and a dinner with one of the show’s producers on the day of the Tony Awards. The dinner was held at Casa Cipriani in New York.

The producer invited the other main actors to join the show. But the singer reportedly asked that her co-stars not be included.

Just days before the event, Scherzinger cancelled both the dinner and her makeup appointment.

On the day of the awards ceremony, she agreed to be a spokesperson for Revlon and Clairol, accepting payment for endorsements. However, the producers of the financially struggling film Sunset Blvd. hadn’t given their approval.

Nicole capitalized on the fame of Sunset Blvd. to land endorsement deals, yet she kept all the earnings for herself, despite knowing the production was facing financial difficulties.

Representatives for Nicole and Neptune Productions did not respond to requests for comment from the Daily Mail.
