Okay, so I just heard the news, and let me tell you, it’s fantastic! For anyone who loved Trina Vega on ‘Victorious,’ get ready to cheer! Nickelodeon is apparently giving her the spotlight she deserves with a brand new spinoff. Forget worrying about fading into the background – Trina’s about to be a star, and honestly, it makes perfect sense. She always was the main attraction in my book!
Netflix is making a sequel to the popular Nickelodeon show ‘iCarly’. Called ‘Hollywood Arts‘, the new series is currently being filmed and will bring back Daniella Monet as her original character, Trina. The original ‘iCarly’ followed students at a performing arts high school and ran for four seasons on Nickelodeon.
I recently heard from Monet, who’s reprising her role as Trina, and she seems thrilled to be back! She said she feels incredibly lucky to be working with such a talented group of fresh faces. The new cast includes some exciting young actors – Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Martin Kamm, and Erika Swayze – and it sounds like they’re all going to bring a lot of energy to the show.
Entertainment & Arts
Jennifer Aniston is set to star in a TV series based on Jennette McCurdy’s popular memoir, “I’m Glad My Mom Died.”
Monet shared that ‘Victorious’ was a deeply impactful experience for everyone involved, creating a lasting bond between the cast. She expressed immense excitement about the chance to work on a new project with a similar potential, saying it’s a feeling she can’t quite put into words. As an actress, producer, and mother, she’s enthusiastic about creating something everyone can enjoy and be proud of.
The new show, “Hollywood Arts,” follows Trina as she goes back to her old high school to teach after her acting career stalls. She’ll be a substitute teacher, despite not being fully prepared, and will both challenge and motivate a group of driven, young performing arts students.
The popular teen show “Victorious,” which aired from 2010 to 2013, featured Victoria Justice as Tori Vega and Daniella Monet as her older sister, Trina – a character known for being confident despite her lack of talent. The show also starred Ariana Grande, Avan Jogia, Elizabeth Gillies, Leon Thomas III, and Matt Bennett.

Entertainment & Arts
Former Nickelodeon stars from popular shows like ‘Drake & Josh,’ ‘The Amanda Show,’ and ‘Zoey 101’ recently shared their experiences as child actors in the documentary ‘Quiet on Set.’ Here’s an update on what these actors are doing today.
Yvette Nicole Brown will make a guest appearance in the new series. She previously played school principal Helen Dubois on both “Victorious” and an earlier Nickelodeon show, “Drake & Josh,” which aired from 2004 to 2007.
Monet will not only star in “Hollywood Arts,” but will also be an executive producer, working with showrunners Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin, and director Jonathan Judge. Importantly, Dan Schneider, the creator of “Victorious” and the subject of allegations explored in the 2024 documentary “Quiet on Set,” is not part of this new project.
The first season, consisting of 26 episodes, is planned to premiere on Netflix in 2026, followed by a release on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Production is currently underway in Ontario, Canada.
