Allison Janney shared that a particularly bad experience with a former colleague has made her determined to never work with him again, and thankfully, she doesn’t anticipate having to.
The veteran actress, 65, recently surprised everyone with a dramatic new hairstyle and opened up during an interview on Watch What Happens Live Wednesday night.
She appeared on the show with her “The Diplomat” co-star, Keri Russell. They played a game where they used paddles to show whether they agreed or disagreed with statements from the 57-year-old host.
Cohen mentioned he’ll never work with a former co-star again, explaining there’s someone from his past he’d avoid collaborating with in the future.
Both Janney and Russell, who are 49 years old, expressed their agreement, and the Bravo executive jokingly replied, ‘Bonus points for identifying who you’re talking about!’
The actress, known for her role in ‘The Mom,’ shared that her former co-star had passed away, making any future collaboration impossible.

This clearly intrigued Russell and Cohen, who attempted to persuade Janney to share the name, but she refused to reveal it.
She refused to say it, explaining that she didn’t want to feel secure just because they were in such a small venue.
People commenting on the YouTube video and on the West Wing subreddit have been trying to understand who Janney meant with her comment.
It’s a significant challenge to summarize the career of this acclaimed actress, who has appeared in over 150 films and television shows. Her notable roles include appearances in films like ‘The Hours’ (2002), ‘Hairspray’ and ‘Juno’ (both 2007), ‘The Help’ (2011), and recently, ‘The Roses’.
Many people wondered if her role in the political drama The West Wing was the key to understanding her next move.
Fans guessed that several actors from the show might appear, including Matthew Perry (who sadly passed away in 2023), John Spencer (2005), Hal Holbrook (2021), Roger Rees (2015), Ron Silver (2009), and John Amos, who died last year.
Janney recently played Evelyn Rollins, a red-haired woman who leads a group of wealthy socialites at a Florida beach club. However, the actress who portrays her made a public appearance on Tuesday evening, marking a change of pace.
Janney debuted a new blonde hairstyle at the season two premiere of Palm Royale, held at The Sun Rose in West Hollywood. She looked noticeably different while posing for photos with her fellow cast members on the red carpet.

Rollins had changed her hairstyle. She no longer wore the messy, reddish-orange bob she used to, nor the slightly shorter, smoother style she showed off at a screening of The Diplomat on October 14th.
Janney, age 65, debuted a longer, noticeably lighter hairstyle while celebrating the return of her hit Apple TV show.
Once the actress joined Kaia Gerber, Lisa Rinna, Leslie Bibb, and John Stamos at the Hollywood event, all eyes were on her.
Palm Royale tells the story of Maxine Simmons (Kristen Wiig), a determined woman who cleverly navigates her way into the exclusive world of Palm Beach high society in the 1960s.
Palm Royale season two premieres November 12 on Apple TV+.
