Star Wars fans are passionately urging Disney to revive a shelved movie idea featuring Adam Driver’s character, Kylo Ren, titled ‘The Hunt for Ben Solo.’ Driver recently shared that he and director Steven Soderbergh developed a sequel concept to ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ and presented it to Lucasfilm, but it wasn’t approved. Fans, clearly wanting to see more of Kylo Ren, have quickly started a campaign to get the project reconsidered, and are actively trying to get the attention of decision-makers at Disney and Lucasfilm.
According to Collider, Star Wars fans pooled their money to hire a plane to fly a banner over Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California on October 23rd. The banner read “Save the Hunt for Ben Solo,” and the stunt happened just three days after actor Adam Driver publicly discussed the future of his character. Lianna Al Allaf, who organized the effort, explained to Collider that she hopes Disney executives will see the banner as proof that fans are passionate about Ben Solo and want to see his story continued in a film.
