Keanu Reeves was spotted running errands in New York City shortly after a disturbing encounter with an overzealous fan.
The 61-year-old actor, recently seen sharing a kiss with his partner Alexandra Grant, dressed casually for a relaxed outing in New York City on Thursday.
This incident happened soon after a fan approached him after a Broadway performance of ‘Waiting For Godot,’ identifying herself as his ‘divine wife’ and pursuing him.
Reeves opted for a casual look, wearing black trousers, a blue hoodie, and a brown blazer.
The Matrix star wrapped a vibrant red scarf around his neck and slipped into a pair of brown boots.
To complete his look, Reeves wore a baseball cap and carried a black backpack.

A Hollywood actor was spotted walking down the street carrying a reusable DoorDash bag.
He also carried his smartphone in his other hand before heading to his next destination.
Keanu Reeves appeared unconcerned by a scary incident that occurred after his Broadway show, when a fan claiming to be his ‘soulmate’ pursued him.
The actor is currently performing in Jamie Lloyd’s version of Samuel Beckett’s play, Waiting for Godot, at the Hudson Theater.
Let me tell you, I recently saw some truly unsettling video. Apparently, a woman was attempting to get into Keanu Reeves’ car, and things quickly escalated. She was shouting that she was his ‘divine wife’ – it was a really bizarre scene! Security had to intervene, and unfortunately, she fell as they were leading her away. It’s a reminder that even public figures aren’t immune to these kinds of unpredictable and, frankly, distressing encounters.
A fan captured video of Keanu Reeves leaving the theatre after a show, where he humbly waved to the excited fans waiting for him.
He moved through the crowd, stepping around his security team, and entered a black car with a driver, heading home for the evening.
Things got a little chaotic just then. As he was approaching, a woman actually rushed forward, attempting to get to the door, and his security team quickly stepped in to restrain her. It was a pretty intense moment, honestly!

She told the bodyguards to release her, then yelled to the car, ‘Keanu, it’s me, your wife!’
“Keanu! Keanu!” she shouted, then hurried around the car, pleading, “Please don’t let them hurt me.”
I watched, heart pounding, as the car started to pull away. Luckily, she was quick and managed to get to the passenger side, desperately yanking at the handle, trying to get the door open and reach Reeves.
It was truly awful to watch – seeing them forcibly pull her from the car, two men just grabbing onto her. And the callousness of hearing someone yell, ‘Get her out of here! Get her out of here!’ – it was heartbreaking and just showed how little they cared.
The woman stumbled and fell backward, then quickly stood up and yelled at the departing car.
The person recording the argument said, ‘You should get a restraining order against this person.’ They also asked, ‘Why are you getting so upset?’
Keanu Reeves, who recently dismissed reports that he had married his partner, received criticism after his first performance in September. According to Johnny Oleksinski of the New York Post, Reeves appeared ‘stiff’ on stage and seemed to have difficulty with his role as Estragon.
The star appeared influenced by his on-stage alter-ego – playing tramp Estragon on stage.

As a huge fan, I was really disappointed to see the New York Post give the performance only two stars. They were particularly critical of Keanu Reeves, saying he just rushed through his lines as Gogo, focusing on speed rather than actually conveying any meaning or emotion with them. It stung to read, honestly, because I felt he brought a lot more to the role than that review suggests.
These are simply memorized words spoken with the same seriousness you’d use when giving out your Social Security number.
The actor’s blank expression works really well when he plays a killer in movies, but it doesn’t quite translate to the stage.
In a review for The Guardian, Adrian Horton awarded the production three stars, highlighting the strong connection between the actor and his Bill & Ted co-star, Alex Winter.
Keanu Reeves has been very active lately, appearing in both a Broadway play and the new comedy film, Good Fortune.
Aziz Ansari wrote and directed the film, and it featured Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and Ansari himself in the cast.
Released on October 17th, the project centers around Gabriel, a kind but clumsy angel, who gets involved in the lives of two very different people: a worker trying to make ends meet with odd jobs, and a successful venture capitalist, according to IMDB.
Keanu Reeves and his partner, Alexandra Grant, went to the movie’s premiere in New York City earlier this week.
The couple, who started dating in 2019, shared a kiss while posing for pictures at the event.

Last month, the couple denied reports of a marriage, with the artist posting a photo on Instagram of her kissing Reeves.
Grant explained in the caption that the picture was a genuine moment – just a kiss! He jokingly added that it might have been taken right before or after the kiss, judging by their silly faces.
She explained that she was posting to thank everyone for the wedding congratulations, but clarified they hadn’t actually gotten married.
It’s easy to get caught up in negativity, and with so much misinformation around, it’s important to be cautious. But here’s a genuine reason to smile!
