10 Most Powerful DC K.O. Contestants, Ranked by Most Likely To Win

Power-scaling is when fans debate how strong different characters are compared to each other. They usually do this by looking at each character’s most impressive accomplishments, but it’s hard to know for sure who would win unless they actually battled. Luckily, the show DC K.O. provides a way to see those matchups happen.

Written by Scott Snyder, Joshua Williamson, Xermánico, and Javier Fernández, this story depicts a massive conflict where heroes and villains fight relentlessly for Omega Energy, hoping to overthrow Darkseid. Expect epic battles between incredibly powerful heroes, ultimately determining who is the strongest being in the universe.

Lobo’s The Main Man— Could He Go Far?

In the DC universe, if you need chaos, look no further. This intergalactic bounty hunter first appeared in the 1980s and quickly became known as the definitive parody of the excessively violent and crude anti-heroes popular at the time. And despite everything, this character is genuinely powerful and seemingly indestructible.

Lobo is practically immortal and an incredibly powerful fighter, capable of surviving even when reduced to just a skull and destroying planets. However, despite his strength, there are reasons to believe he wouldn’t actually win a major event like DC K.O. First, giving him the win would be a strange and disappointing choice. Second, Lobo is meant to be a comical character. His immense power and ability to survive anything are played for laughs, meaning DC is unlikely to present him as a genuine victor.

Star Sapphire Could Shine Bright

Okay, so I’m a huge fan of the DC universe, and one of the coolest groups has to be the Star Sapphires! They’re part of this bigger concept called the Emotional Spectrum, which basically means different groups represent different emotions. The Star Sapphires – people sometimes call them Violet Lanterns – are all about love. They use that love to get stronger and power these amazing, bright pink rings they wield. It’s seriously awesome how they tap into that emotion!

The Violet Lantern ring is very similar to a Green Lantern ring, but it has an additional ability: it can turn opponents into crystal, effectively freezing them. Currently, Carol Ferris wields this ring and appears as a fighter in DC K.O. While she might not win the whole competition, her power makes it possible she could last a round or two before being defeated.

Wonder Woman Is A Powerhouse All One Her Own

Wonder Woman, also known as Princess Diana of Themiscyra, is a hugely important superhero and a feminist icon who has inspired people for decades. But beyond her real-world impact, she’s also incredibly powerful and influential within the DC Universe.

Diana, also known as Wonder Woman, was born with incredible gifts from the Olympian gods, including superhuman strength, speed, the ability to fly, and a rapid healing ability. But her true power comes from the rigorous training she received from the Amazons, renowned as some of the most skilled warriors in the universe. She’s an exceptionally gifted fighter, especially when armed with her God Killer sword and Lasso of Truth, as seen in DC K.O.—though it’s debatable whether she’d even desire the role of King Omega.

Etrigan Has Truly Demonic Strength

Etrigan’s power level is all over the place, changing during fights. Sometimes he’s incredibly strong, able to trade punches with a powerhouse like Lobo. Other times, he’s surprisingly vulnerable – Superman once defeated him using Christmas magic, forcing Etrigan to surrender.

This demon was once a prince in Hell and remains powerfully strong, though his abilities fluctuate. While he’s unlikely to defeat other heroes consistently, it would be a fitting story twist for a former Prince of Hell to gain control of the Omega Energy, especially considering Darkseid’s similar role as a dark, powerful figure.

Swamp Thing Commands The Power Of The Green

Most of the fighters in DC K.O. are quite powerful, but very few wield raw, elemental forces. That’s where Swamp Thing comes in. Though different characters have controlled the Green over time, Swamp Thing’s incredible power has always remained constant, and he could be a major force in a tournament setting like this one.

Swamp Thing is connected to a universal life force called the Green, which links all plants together. This connection explains his incredible control over plant life and how he’s able to overcome challenges. Combining his abilities with those of the powerful King Omega could lead to some exciting developments in the future.

Big Barda Is One Of DC’s Most Notorious Brawlers

Among the powerful heroes in DC K.O., Big Barda stands out as the most fitting victor. She grew up on the harsh planet Apokolips, where she was trained as a fierce warrior known as a Female Fury under the strict and often brutal guidance of Granny Goodness. Eventually, Barda left Apokolips with the hero Mister Miracle, and together they dedicated themselves to fighting against the tyrannical Darkseid and his army.

Barda is an exceptionally skilled and powerful warrior in the DC Universe, and she’s even more formidable with her weapon, the Mega-Rod. This metal baton can shoot energy blasts and open Boom Tubes, making it incredibly versatile. It would be a satisfying conclusion to her story if she were to defeat her former master and claim his power for herself. While some characters might be physically stronger, Barda offers a lot of exciting possibilities for a winning storyline.

Firestorm Is Beyond Overpowered

Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein combine to become Firestorm, the Nuclear Man. He’s a powerful being who can unleash nuclear energy as blasts and flames, but his most dangerous ability is changing ordinary materials into other substances.

As a Firestorm fan, I’m always amazed by his power! He can literally turn anything non-living into anything else – a soda can into a helicopter, paper into a flower, it’s wild! And the fact that he can even make Kryptonite out of thin air? That’s going to be huge in the DC K.O. tournament. Sure, it looks like he’s going down against Guy Gardner in the first round, but knowing the tournament, losing doesn’t always mean you’re out for good, so I’m still holding out hope!

Captain Atom Is A Walking Nuke

Nathaniel Adam was a normal Air Force officer struggling to adjust after the Vietnam War when everything changed. An accident involving a unique metal called Dilusteel bonded with his skin, and a strange force known as the Quantum Field sent him hurtling through time. Now recognized as one of DC’s most powerful heroes, his life is anything but ordinary.

Listing all of Captain Atom’s powers would take a long time, but he can fly, lives forever, is invulnerable, possesses incredible strength, and manipulate or create matter. He can also transform things like Firestorm, and fire energy blasts. Essentially, he’s like a living nuclear bomb, and his abilities are similar to Dr. Manhattan’s, making him one of the few heroes capable of challenging Superman. Because he’s made of living energy, becoming King Omega isn’t a stretch for him.

Zatanna Is The Single Greatest Sorceress Alive

When it comes to magic users in the DC Universe, Zatanna Zatara stands alone. Magic itself is a boundless ability that doesn’t follow rules—it’s almost like artistic expression channeled through energy. And Zatanna, in many ways, is…

Zatanna’s magical abilities are unlike anything seen before, far surpassing those of other heroes. She’s demonstrated incredible feats, like resurrecting Catwoman, reading minds, and even traveling inside the comic book itself to outmaneuver her enemies. Given her powerful magic – and the fact that Kryptonians are vulnerable to it – Zatanna is a strong contender for victory.

Superman Could Easily Take It With Raw Strength

Okay, so everyone seems to think Lex Luthor, Superman’s biggest enemy, will eventually become King Omega, but honestly, he’s not the strongest fighter we’ve seen. When it comes to pure power, Superman is probably the most powerful being in the whole DC Universe, hands down!

Superman is incredibly powerful, exceeding even the strength of many gods – he’s even fought Darkseid to a standstill several times and appears to have no limits. In a purely physical fight, he’d likely win. However, if Superman were to gain the power to reshape the universe, it could raise questions about whether superheroes might be inclined towards authoritarianism. Ironically, he might ultimately choose to do nothing with that power, realizing that no single person should wield such immense control.
