Khloe Kardashian has surprising reaction to Savannah Guthrie’s ‘regret’ over rude paternity question

Khloe Kardashian responded with understanding to a morning show host who later regretted questioning her about her biological father.

Back in October 2012, Savannah Guthrie asked Kim Kardashian if Robert Kardashian was her biological father. Kim was 28 years old at the time and hadn’t yet reached the peak of her fame.

It had been rumored that former football star OJ Simpson was her real biological dad. 

The reality TV star smoothly dismissed the rumors, claiming there was no truth to them, and didn’t seem bothered at all by the question.

Guthrie has since stated that questioning Kardashian about her father is something she deeply regrets, calling it one of the biggest mistakes of her career.

On Wednesday, the 41-year-old Good American designer reacted to the remarks in a very positive way.

The singer responded to a question about Guthrie on social media, calling her ‘a doll’ and praising her for taking responsibility. She expressed her admiration with a message of love and three heart emojis. ❤️❤️❤️

On Tuesday the Today show co-host, 53, said to this day she is still haunted by the experience.

Savannah recently told Andy Cohen about some career missteps, including a time she questioned Khloe Kardashian about paternity rumors right before a commercial break. She said she was direct in her questioning.

‘I asked Khloé Kardashian, like, 10 seconds before we were going to break about the rumors that her father wasn’t her father,’ she said.

‘That was so bad. That was so bad.’

Savannah confessed she was deeply embarrassed by the moment and explained she only asked the question because the show’s producers had been pushing her to do so.

She also revealed that she waited until the very last second to pop it.

At one point, we jokingly asked Khloé about the rumor that Robert Kardashian wasn’t her biological father. They started a countdown – ‘Ten, nine, eight…’ – and I immediately felt really embarrassed.

Khloe handled the question really well. Savannah explained, ‘She was so graceful about it, just brushing it off like it was no big deal.’ They paused the interview, and Khloe’s composure throughout was impressive.

Khloe is the third daughter of Kris Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian.

Her older sisters are Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian.

Rob Kardashian, who prefers to stay out of the public eye, is her younger brother. Her half-sisters include supermodel Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, the founder of the popular Kylie Cosmetics line.

I’ve followed Khloe Kardashian for years, and it’s always been heartbreaking to see her deal with this rumor that OJ Simpson was actually her father. Despite both her and Mr. Simpson repeatedly and strongly denying it, the conspiracy theory just won’t go away. It’s a really unfair situation for her.

The social media personality’s father, Robert, was well-known for defending O.J. Simpson in the 1995 murder trial.

In 2019, Simpson strongly denied rumors claiming he was Khloé Kardashian’s father. These rumors suggested she was conceived during a brief affair with her mother in the 1990s, something he also insisted never occurred.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Simpson stated he never had any romantic or sexual interest in Kris, and he didn’t get the impression she was interested in him either.

He continued: ‘So all of these stories are just bogus. Bad, you know, tasteless.’

Oh my gosh, I remember when Khloe was on the Today show! It was so exciting because she was there to promote ‘Khloé & Lamar,’ the show that followed her and Lamar Odom. Seriously, it was the show back then, and I couldn’t wait to see what was happening with them! I was completely obsessed.

Savannah shared the embarrassing story about Andy back in February during a town hall event on SiriusXM’s Today Show Radio.

‘She saved my butt,’ she said of Khloé at the time. ‘She’s a doll.’
