Kylie Jenner reveals heartbreak as beloved dog Norman dies after nearly 13 years

Kylie Jenner is heartbroken over the loss of her dog, Norman, an Italian Greyhound she considered like a first child.

On Tuesday, the 28-year-old businesswoman shared a heartfelt Instagram post about the passing of her dog, including an old photo of her daughter Stormi lovingly petting him.

Sharing a heartfelt tribute to her beloved dog, Norman, Jenner reminisced about the day she first brought him home. She described feeling an instant and profound love, recalling how she’d always dreamed of owning an Italian Greyhound, but her mother wouldn’t allow it. Finally, on her 17th birthday, she received Norman as a Christmas gift, calling it the greatest present she could have ever asked for.

Kylie Cosmetics founder Kylie Jenner shared that her dog, Normy, brought her family ten years of happiness and was a cherished member of their home.

She continued, saying Normy brought happiness to her life and the lives of many others. Though he was only almost 13 years old, she knew she would cherish the memories of their time together for much longer. She admitted it was hard to be writing the post, but she was grateful her children had the chance to know and love him.

It absolutely broke my heart to hear about Norm. She finished her beautiful tribute by saying, ‘My sweet Normyyyy. My heart aches for you, Norm. Rest in peace, my precious Normandle. I love you forever.’ It perfectly captured how much we all adored him, and honestly, it made me cry. He was truly one of a kind.

Her slideshow featured pictures of her and Norman relaxing together – cuddling in bed, lounging on the couch, and enjoying the sunshine by the pool.

Norman was among the first dogs Kylie Jenner got as a teen, and he soon became popular online.

Khloé Kardashian first shared Norman with her fans in 2014, explaining she’d adopted the small puppy when she was a teenager.

‘Why am I sobbing,’ her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian wrote underneath the post.

A fan expressed their sympathy to Ky, hoping they find solace in cherished memories. They acknowledged how fortunate Norman was to have Ky’s love and care, and sent their heartfelt support.

She posted an update about Norman on her Instagram Story in August, along with some older photos of him.

‘My Norman is 12,’ she told her followers. ‘I was 17 when I got him.’

You know, I’ve been following the Jenner family for a while now, and it’s fascinating to see how things unfold! Back in 2012, she first publicly shared her dream of getting an Italian greyhound – she was already so excited, she’d even started brainstorming names! It’s so relatable – we’ve all been there, haven’t we, falling for a particular breed and imagining life with a new furry friend?

Norman has been a beloved pet of Jenner’s for many years, and frequently appears with her other greyhounds – Bambi, Harlie, Rosie, Sophia, Kevin, Jack, and Jill – on her social media channels.

Her pack also includes a few dachshunds.

In 2019, she addressed rumors about Norman, her previous pet, after bringing home a new dog named Wesley, a chihuahua-dachshund mix.

When asked about Norman, Jenner replied, questioning why anyone would assume something was wrong. She explained that just because she doesn’t post about her dogs as often doesn’t mean they’re no longer important to her.

As for how she takes care of so many animals, Jenner previously admitted she gets a lot of help.

Jennifer Lawrence told Interview Magazine in 2023 that hiring a ‘dog nanny’ was likely the smartest thing she’s ever done.

Lawrence was curious about the reality star’s seven dogs, and she explained that it wasn’t intentional. One of her dogs had puppies, and she decided to keep them all together as a family.

In 2016, Norman and Bambi welcomed two puppies. Jenner also has chickens and a bunny.
