The show Ghosts has been on for five seasons, and that means the actors have been wearing the same outfits for all that time! Since the characters are ghosts, they don’t need to change clothes, but I was curious how many copies of those costumes the cast actually has. I asked Asher Grodman, who plays Trevor (and is famously always without pants!), to find out.
I was so excited to see Ghosts return for the 2025 season, and I immediately noticed Trevor was still rocking his signature look! He’s still got that black blazer, light blue shirt, and salmon tie, paired with blue socks and dress shoes…and, of course, no pants! Apparently, they filmed enough to need multiple copies of the outfit, which Asher Grodman actually mentioned in a recent TopMob interview.
I’m not quite sure how many ties I have – it’s either three, or maybe just one. That one tie is really special; I doubt they even make that fabric anymore. I probably have around three shirts and blazers as well. I wonder if Rebecca has more than one of those dresses? They’re so beautiful, she must have more than one.

Asher Grodman, who plays Trevor on ‘Ghosts,’ shared what kind of pants his character would choose if he could – and the answer is surprisingly fitting and funny.
I’m such a fan of Rebecca Wisocky as Hetty! It’s funny, I’ve actually wondered the same thing about the costumes. It seems like Grodman’s outfit must be relatively easy to duplicate, being just the jacket and all. But Hetty’s dresses? They look so intricate and carefully constructed, like real period gowns. It makes me wonder if they make a lot more copies of simpler costumes compared to the really detailed ones, like Hetty’s.
Honestly, it’s not surprising they go through so many costumes! Imagine working all day, every day, in the same outfit – it’s bound to get damaged. They’ve been at this for five years now, so a lot of wear and tear is just inevitable. I was really curious about this, so I even asked Grodman how his costume has changed over time.
Although the shoes appear unchanged, I wondered if there had been any subtle updates. As it turns out, there have been! The actor who plays Trevor explained the changes to me:
My shoes are a bit more comfortable now, but everyone else got upgraded footwear earlier. I was the last to get them, so I started the season with back pain from standing in uncomfortable shoes for long periods. They finally got me a more comfortable pair to wear when you can’t see my feet, which is great.
Grodman mentioned an interesting observation about Trevor’s costume. Apparently, some people believe his shirt seems to have grown longer over time. He wasn’t sure if it was true, but he admitted it wasn’t a crazy idea, saying:
I noticed the new shirts seemed a bit longer when they first came out, and I actually thought I was imagining things! We have to replace the shirts periodically because they get so worn, and I remember specifically feeling like this one was different. But when we checked, it turned out it was the exact same length! It’s a relief to hear I wasn’t the only one who thought that, though – it’s good to know I’m not completely crazy!
I’m not sure if the shirt’s size changed, but it generally looks the same as it did in the first season. It’s interesting to get a better sense of how the show handles costumes, especially since most characters wear the same outfits throughout the series.
You can watch the actors and their costumes in new episodes of Ghosts every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS. Or, with a Paramount+ subscription, you can stream all four previous seasons and new episodes the day after they air.
