Travel Guides stars Jonathan and Danielle Fren are expecting their first child.
The reality TV couple shared on Instagram that they’re expecting a baby in April of next year.
The couple shared a sonogram photo of their baby, set up with adorable details like teddy bears, a little onesie that said ‘Baby Fren’, and alphabet blocks spelling out ‘baby’.
‘Our greatest adventure awaits – April 2026,’ a plaque in the middle of the scene read.
Jonathan shared that he believes starting a family will be the most thrilling experience of his life.
He said he’s had amazing experiences traveling the world, but he believes his next adventure will be the best one yet.
‘@dani.fren21 and I are excited to announce Baby Fren is due April 2026.’
The post was met with an outpouring of congratulations from friends, fans, and followers.
Kristy Lee Akers and Jesse Anderson, known from the show The Block, shared their enthusiastic congratulations, saying, ‘Big congrats, guys. How exciting!’
Travel Guides alums Kevin Moloney and Janetta Stones also jumped in with: ‘Wonderful news, guys.’
Eliza and Liberty Paschke, who finished second in the 2023 Block competition, perfectly captured the feeling of many by simply saying, ‘This is the best!’
The happy news comes after the couple recently opened up about their ‘unconventional’ relationship.
Married for five years, the couple spends six months apart each year because Jono is frequently away filming.
You know, I really appreciate Danielle letting me create those Travel Guides each year. It’s a huge undertaking, and it does mean I’m away from home for extended periods, so I’m incredibly thankful for her support.
Danielle joked that the secret to their successful marriage might be spending only half the year together, meaning they don’t have to put up with each other constantly!
Their unusual arrangement won’t be ending any time soon if Jono gets his way.
‘I just want to keep doing it as long as Channel Nine want me,’ he said.

The Fren family, originally from Newcastle, became well-known for their honest and direct opinions on the Nine Network’s show, Travel Guides, which first aired in 2017.
The show features everyday Australians acting as travel reviewers, sharing their opinions on popular and exotic destinations.
Mark and Cathy, who are primary school teachers, and Jono and Vic, who work in hospitality, – together known as The Frens – really dislike being in uncomfortable or difficult situations.
Jonathan and Danielle met on Tinder in 2019 and fell in love. They got married in 2021.
Danielle isn’t usually on Travel Guides, but she recently traveled to Japan with her family, stepping in while Victoria, her sister-in-law, was unavailable.
