Tammy Hembrow has publicly criticized her ex-boyfriend, Bailey Smith, as she begins to focus on dating again.
The 31-year-old fitness influencer has partnered with Tinder after a short-lived romance with a 24-year-old Australian Rules Football player.
On Wednesday, Tammy shared a sponsored video on Instagram for Tinder, explaining what qualities in a man she finds attractive or unattractive.
Tammy subtly criticized Bailey, saying that men who only talk about football are a turn-off.
‘Only because I don’t know anything about footy,’ the blonde beauty confessed.
‘I can’t really contribute to that conversation.’
If you’re hoping to win Tammy’s heart, be aware that she has a lot of both positive and negative qualities to consider.
She confessed she’s easily attracted to men who aren’t active on social media, and she especially liked it when a man offered to pick her up for a date.
A man who offers to help Tammy with her belongings will definitely make a good impression, and so will someone who is divorced and has children.
Tammy has a couple of dealbreakers when it comes to dating. She’s not interested in men who still call their mothers ‘mummy,’ and she doesn’t want to hear from anyone who messages her late at night – after 10pm, to be exact.
Tammy made these remarks shortly after talking about a date she found uninteresting, leading many to believe she was referencing Bailey.
In a recent interview with the Mad About You podcast, she revealed she hasn’t dated much since splitting from Matthew Zukowski, who appeared on Love Island.
‘I haven’t been on many dates until recently, really. But I did go on a date with a guy. It’s literally the only guy I went on a date with… he was just so boring,’ she said.
I prefer to meet people I connect with online in person as soon as possible. I’m not a big fan of texting – if you want to talk to me, I’d rather meet face-to-face, she explained.
We went on a date, but honestly, I was really bored. He was a nice guy, but I’m usually pretty energetic and silly, so I just don’t get bored easily.
Tammy then conceded: ‘I was nervous as well. Maybe I’m boring and he’s matching my energy.’
After Tammy announced she was working with Tinder, some fans speculated the relationship was a publicity stunt. This came only three months after Bailey became an ambassador for the same dating app, raising eyebrows about the timing.
She announced in an Instagram video, filmed from her car while wearing a white T-shirt, that she’s starting to date again and is using Tinder to find someone she likes.
I always seem to be in the news when it comes to dating, but I wanted you to hear it directly from me: I’m starting to date again.
Tammy seemed to allude to her short relationship with Bailey, saying, ‘I really think people put too much pressure on dating – it should be enjoyable!’
I’m using Tinder to see what kind of people are around. I’m hoping to connect with someone I click with, and maybe even start a relationship if it feels right.
She ended the Tinder ad with a playful message: ‘If you’re looking for a sign, here it is! Find your next potential match on Tinder.’
Lots of people immediately suspected her relationship with Bailey was fake, pointing to her new partnership with Tinder as evidence it was all for publicity.
‘I’m convinced their fling was a publicity stunt for this and I love it!!’ a fan wrote.
One person chimed in: ‘Another publicity stunt! Probably getting paid way too much for it.’
Many people praised Tammy for trying again, and some even thought she should consider appearing on a reality television show.
‘Pleasseeee do love island omg you would kill it,’ one person begged.
Another fan wrote: ‘Can you just be the next bachelorette please.’
People had been spotting Tammy and her partner for weeks, sparking a lot of speculation, before the announcement of her new job finally came.
Matt, 30, and Tammy got engaged in December 2023 after just three months of dating.
The couple got married in November 2024, but rumors of a breakup started appearing earlier in 2025.
After just seven months of marriage, the pair announced in June they were divorcing.
