Spider-Man 4: Sadie Sink’s Rumored Casting Debunked — Report

Sadie Sink’s rumored Spider-Man 4 casting may not be true after all.

Production is officially underway for Spider-Man 4, currently titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is directing the film. Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and the movie is scheduled to be released in theaters next summer.

What is the latest Spider-Man 4 update?

Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things, has joined the cast of a new film, but her character is currently a secret. While fans have speculated about her role – with popular guesses being Jean Grey or Firestar – a recent rumor suggests she might be playing Rachel Cole, sparked by photos from the set of Spider-Man 4.

Rachel, a former Marine sergeant and ally of the Punisher, first appeared in Marvel Comics’ The Punisher #1 in 2011. She was created by Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto. With Jon Bernthal returning to play Frank Castle in the upcoming Spider-Man 4, Rachel’s potential appearance in the film has generated excitement among fans.

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, however, Sink won’t actually be playing Rachel in the movie.

According to reports, Frank Castle will have an ally in the movie, and that character is being played by a Black actress who is relatively unknown. Sources also suggest that the character played by Sink isn’t what she seems to be.

It’s currently unclear who will play the character of Mysterio in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie. Details about the plot are being closely guarded. The film is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
