Love Is Blind couple Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton confirm the birth of first child Ezra William after four year IVF struggle

Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton, who found love on the Netflix show Love Is Blind, have welcomed their first child, a son named Ezra William. The couple shared that they faced a four-year journey with fertility challenges before Ezra’s arrival.

The couple, who first connected on the Netflix dating show in 2020, announced their split in a series of posts on Instagram Tuesday morning.

Speed, 37, shared with her followers that her baby was born almost three weeks early. She explained she became ill with pre-eclampsia, a pregnancy condition that often causes nausea, headaches, and high blood pressure.

She announced the arrival of her and her husband’s baby son, Ezra William Hamilton, with a heartfelt message. He was born on October 1st, a bit sooner than expected, and she expressed her gratitude to God, believing it was all part of a divine plan.

Things took an unexpected turn with preeclampsia, and I ended up spending a few days in the hospital. Now, we’re focusing on recovery, getting plenty of rest, and enjoying the support we’re receiving.

The couple first shared the news of Lauren’s pregnancy in a video that showed their relationship—from how they met and got married, to starting a family with the help of IVF.

Oh my gosh, when I saw the pictures of her baby bump, I nearly lost it! Apparently, when they first found out, they just stared at each other in shock. She told People that she fell to her knees and burst into tears – it was just the most adorable, perfect reaction ever! I’m seriously so happy for them!

‘It’s been a long time coming. We’ve literally been trying to get pregnant for four years.’

Oh my gosh, it was torture waiting for the pregnancy test! Hamilton actually talked about it, and it was so relatable. They went through IVF, you see, so every single day leading up to the test felt like an eternity. We were all counting down with them, honestly!

We already knew it was the day we would get the test results. We were scheduled for a blood test later, but we were too anxious to wait.

After her father’s death at Christmas 2024, Speed described her unborn baby as a source of hope and joy for her family.

She said: ‘The spark that my whole family needed. We’ve been trying for a long time.

It was a mix of happy and sad knowing my dad couldn’t be here with us, but we felt his presence. It was a really overwhelming moment – we couldn’t believe it! We were just incredibly thankful, happy, and excited, and then it really sunk in: we were going to be parents. It was a huge realization.

The popular Netflix show featured thirty singles who dated each other by talking through walls, without ever seeing what the other person looked like. At any point during this unique dating process, contestants could propose to their potential match.

After getting engaged, couples were finally able to meet in person, often leading to a romantic trip to Mexico. They quickly moved in together, got to know each other’s families, and planned their wedding—all within a matter of days.

Out of the thirty couples who started the search for love, only five pairs ended up engaged and continued the journey to a romantic getaway in Mexico.

The happy couple tied the knot on November 14, 2018, Lauren’s 31st birthday.

The participants on the first season of Love Is Blind all met while filming, and they say they fell in love quickly, even though they didn’t see each other face-to-face for about a month.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always thrilled to hear a beautiful love story unfold! Just days after Cameron and Lauren finally met, Cameron popped the question, and Lauren happily accepted! She actually shared that she was starting to lose hope of finding her ‘prince’ until she met him – it’s so lovely to see those fairytales come true!
