Helen Flanagan has publicly criticized her ex-partner, Scott Sinclair, revealing she finds their current co-parenting situation difficult, especially as she won’t be spending Christmas with their children.
The 34-year-old actress, known for her role on Coronation Street, has three children – Matilda, 10, Delilah, 7, and Charlie, 4 – with her ex-partner, a footballer. They separated in 2022 after being together for 13 years.
Helen seemed downcast when speaking to The Mirror at the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday night while talking about Christmas plans this year.
She said co-parenting is really difficult and not something she enjoys at all. However, she believes it’s important to be fair to everyone involved.
My children’s father and I live far apart – I’m up north near Manchester, and he’s in Bath. Because of the distance, traditional shared parenting isn’t really possible, so we alternate who has the kids.
Helen admitted she wasn’t excited about it, saying, “To be honest, I’m really not looking forward to it.”

Being a mom and not spending Christmas with your children feels strange, but it’s just one day, and I’ve committed to performing in a pantomime.
Helen will play the role of the Evil Queen in this year’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs performance at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
‘I’m the Evil Queen of Liverpool! That’ll keep me really busy,’ she added.
She’s celebrating Christmas Day with her parents, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew. She’ll also be spending New Year’s with her children.
This isn’t the first time Helen has publicly criticized Scott. Earlier this month, she made a harsh statement, saying she’d prefer anything to getting back together with him.
A mom of three posted a funny video on Instagram showing someone diving into the ocean with the caption, ‘Get back with your kids’ dad or drown.’
This post appeared just days after the actor shared a humorous meme from the account @pettycoparenting101. The meme said, ‘You can’t go around calling your children’s father names.’
The hilarious ‘reaction’ to it was a clip of American rapper Usher dancing around.

Helen recently hinted at revealing secrets in her upcoming book, seemingly addressing past relationships and potential fallout.
The beauty shot to fame as Rosie in the Cobbles in 2000 and has never left the limelight since.
She’s also dealt with mental health challenges, including a severe episode brought on by a negative reaction to medication.
In a new book, Helen promises to share the complete truth about her life, without leaving anything out or glossing over difficult parts, as reported by the Mirror.
Before the book comes out in January, Helen explained that writing it meant confronting difficult memories and revisiting experiences she’d prefer to forget.
I’ve definitely faced challenges – I’ve made errors, experienced pain, and had to start over completely. But through it all, I’ve learned a lot, become more resilient, and emerged a better version of myself.
‘Telling my truth meant no hiding – no glossing over or airbrushing.’
After 13 years together, Helen and Scott separated in 2022. Helen explained it wasn’t a typical breakup, but more like a divorce, given their long relationship and the fact they share children.

Helen realized, in retrospect, that she hadn’t dealt with her feelings in a healthy way, instead throwing herself into work while simply trying to get through a difficult time.
Helen pointed out that when she was 19, she could easily meet someone while out in Manchester and start a relationship, but at 35, her lifestyle is different and she doesn’t go out looking for that anymore.
Last month, the celebrity experienced an emotional crisis and expressed strong frustration with co-parenting in a post on Instagram.
Helen became visibly upset while speaking, explaining that she finds it very difficult when people she cares about leave. She only feels okay with them being away if she’s busy with her own activities, and shared that she’s currently experiencing severe anxiety.
