Love Island winners Toni Laites and Cach Mercer spark engagement rumours as she shows off diamond ring before Pride of Britain

People are speculating that Love Island winners Toni Laites and Cach Mercer are engaged. Toni was seen wearing a large diamond ring while preparing for the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday, leading to the rumors.

The American performer, age 24, and a London-based social media personality and dancer, 34, won the competition over the summer and have been increasingly successful since then.

A former waitress from Las Vegas has settled in the UK and posted a fun video on TikTok showing her getting ready for an event.

As Raye’s song “Where Is My Husband” played, Toni proudly displayed her diamond ring, playfully lip-syncing the lyrics: “I would like a ring, I would like a ring…”

They hugged and kissed, with Cach smiling playfully. Toni shared the moment online, writing, “@Cacherel, Britain’s future bride!”

Afterward, on the red carpet, she switched the ring to her index finger, implying the TikTok video was just a prank.

Toni announced on Monday that she’s officially living in the UK now that her visa has been granted. She’s been traveling back and forth between England and the US since the show ended in August.

I’m so relieved – my visa finally came through! The past two months have been incredibly stressful, but I’m really grateful for all the support I’ve received.

I want to give a huge thank you to @cacherel_ for being such a supportive and steady presence in my life, especially when things have been chaotic. I truly cherish spending every day with them – they love me for who I am and help me stay grounded.

Thanks so much to the team at YMU Group for sticking with me through this challenging journey. I’m excited about what we’ll achieve together and making you all proud. I really appreciate all your hard work!

‘Cheers to my new beginnings in the UK… I’m here to stay.’

Following reports last month that she’s set to star in her own spin-off show due to her popularity with both ITV executives and viewers, this news confirms her rising star status.

According to a source, plans are already being discussed for a spin-off show following Toni’s life after leaving the villa. The show would reportedly focus on her work as a cabana girl in Las Vegas, though it’s still very early stages of development.

Oh my gosh, everyone at ITV adores Toni! They’re absolutely obsessed with how much life she brings to everything, and her quick wit? Forget about it – the one-liners are legendary! Seriously, she’s going places, I just know it. I heard they’re starting talks this week about what she’s going to do next, which is AMAZING. I can’t wait to see what she does next – she’s a star!

The Daily Mail contacted ITV for comment at the time.

During her time on this year’s show Toni struck up a romance with Cach, who is from East London.

The couple who won a £50,000 prize shared their plans, with Toni saying she’s going to use the money to pay off her student loans.

She continued: ‘I want to invest it. I don’t want to go on some crazy shopping spree.’

Cach, a dancer from London, agreed with her, adding: ‘Cost of living crisis, I’ll save it!’
